Lots of people seem to leave negative reviews for these, but I don’t get it. I first discovered them during my freshman year of college because my Chinese international roommate ate them almost every day. One day I got curious and ordered a few packs for myself. Safe to say they didn’t last more than a day. They’re absolutely horrible for your health, and the aroma is interesting. But they are so good, the texture, the seasoning, the hint of spiciness, all combined in one is amazing. If you’re not a fan of Asian cuisine or umami flavor I don’t recommend, definitely do your research before you buy, as you should with most things you buy online. But once again absolutely delicious.

These are SPICY. Lemme start with that. I can usually handle a good bit of spice since I frequently eat Asian dishes and snacks but my god these are awful. My local Asian store was out of Latiao as was I and I LOVE it so I figured I’d try some off here. The bags are smaller than I’m used to so I was sad off the bat, but immediately upon opening, I’m met with this gross smell that was very off putting. These don’t smell or taste like any of the six brands I’ve had or am used to. Spice aside, the flavor would make me not eat it either. But I couldn’t even finish a single stick because of the spice!! I’m so sad :( these are going straight to the trash. These are, however, actual Latiao. The texture itself is what it’s supposed to be, the sticks are thicker than normal but it’s still chewy and explodes with the greasy flavor as it’s meant to. Just be wary of this brand! I’d rate it nothing if possible since I’ve basically just wasted money.

A lot of negative reviews were right about this product. I really wanted to experience these after seeing them in those Chinese candy store videos, so I bought them regardless. They smell odd, but nothing too potent. They're VERY spicy, but I have always enjoyed spice. Rather than that they're quite bland. They have a very strange texture, being very, very oily and chewy. Still, product was exactly as advertised and I enjoyed them, so it'd feel unfair to leave a bad review.

It was horrendous and did not have the ideal spicy snack taste for me. Its just not my fancy for someone going up in an African American household. Furthermore, the texture felt like chewing the Styrofoam in delivery packages while its aroma killed me since it had a herbal smell that did not smell like food. Overall, it may be that I am not suited for it since I took one bite but it does have value for your money since they gave plenty of small packs. Overall, its spiciness is lacking while its texture and smell degrade its experience.

So I've boughton from this exact listing before but I had chose the 78 grams, 2 pack. The photos that showed up and still shows up it's in a white package, when I got that one it was red. But I loved the spicy level and the texture. I decided to reorder it again but I chose this one. And at the time of purchase the photo displayed to me was the RED packaging. So I figured "oh they probably updated their packaging! Which is why one listing showed white and the other red. What I got was a clear bag. So I went back though my orders found the first time I ordered it clicked it and sure enough same listing. I figured its probably the same...it wasnt there was no heat! There was hardly and spices or flavor to it, my husband who can't even take one BITE from a Buldak cheese ramen was able to finish it all. I thought because it all in GRAMS and not listed as DIFFERENT BRANDS I thought I was getting the same delicious snack just in a bigger sized bag. Like you know snack size, normal size, shareable size, family size and Texas sized. Ruined my plans at the time so thanks and maybe fix your listing if it's several different brands, so people can make sure to buy the correct spicy level. Would give it just the 1 star, but I did like what I got the first time so a little thank you star.

It’s a good snack but for me it tasted really sweet wasn’t spicy at all and it had a strong smell

I learned about spicy sticks on TikTok. I was so sure it was going to be delicious. I’m positive this would have been an acquired taste, but it wasn’t at all what I was expecting so I couldn’t finish it. I’ll start off with the positive. The texture was absolutely immaculate. That texture is something I’ll be craving in the future. It was light but chewy. Super scrumptious. The spice was perfect. Your first bite, you’ll feel the spice and aroma go up your throat and through your nose. It was a nice experience. Now for what I didn’t like about it. The flavor. I’d like to say, again, this for sure could be an acquired taste. However, I was expecting something savory. It was unexpectedly sweet so I wasn’t able to finish it. It’s not sweet like cake or anything. I can’t exactly describe it. I saw a review saying it was slightly sweet, but to me, it was more than just slightly sweet. Overall I’ll give it three stars bc even though it wasn’t what I was expecting, it was still a pleasant experience to get to try this snack and maybe I’ll give it another try in the future.

I wanted to try these after seeing them on TikTok. First thing is, they had a very strong and pungent smell. I honestly think it isn’t bad once you eat them, but it’s very off putting to a lot of people so if you’re picky this might not be for you. Otherwise, they’re a sweet and spicy snack, which are a bit oily and chewy. Definitely not the healthiest but kind of addicting. I really like them, but I understand all the negative reviews because it’s an acquired taste and if you aren’t open minded it can be hard to try them.
