Perfect fit, shame the laptop used plastic instead of metal but this may be better then stock!

Poorly repaired hinge attachment point but sold as New
This product was sold as new. When I began replacement the hinge attachment point came loose. On further examination, it had been (poorly) repaired.

A great replacement for HP laptops
Double check that this panel will work with your model of laptop, I made the mistake of ordering the wrong size panel before ordering this one for my laptop. My laptop is the Model 15t-ed100. It is highly likely that you will need to replace the back panel on your HP envy x360 laptop at some point, as the hinge mounting points will inevitably break due to HPs terrible cheap design and lack of integration into the aluminum back panel. My wife has had her HP envy x360 laptop for about 6 years now. One day after using it for some school work she went to close it and found that it wouldn't close because the hinge had broken away from the mount under the screen. Fortunately I found that there are many replacement options for the back panel. Although as I stated above, double check your laptop model before ordering so you know you are getting the right panel. I read several reviews for different panels available on Amazon, most of them had very few reviews (and even less reviews had pictures) and were all around the same price so I just settled on one that was in my price range. I am normally comfortable with tearing stuff apart to fix but this project was a little more high risk for me, as I had read and watched videos saying that the screen is very easily broken if you don't remove it properly, fortunately I didn't have much issue with the panel and my laptop came apart without anything breaking. Now for the panel review, this panel is a decent replacement, it definitely isn't the OEM panel and that becomes apparent when you start to run the wifi antennas through the plastic "raceway" in the bottom right corner, the plastic tabs that hold the wires in are not the same size as the OEM panel and are actually slightly smaller, making it more difficult to get them under the tabs. In the end I was able to get the wires under each tab except for one. The plastic that is used also seems to be a little cheaper quality then the OEM which doesn't give me much confidence that this panel will last as long as the OEM, but only time will tell. Some other things I would add, I didn't get a picture of it, but the OEM panel has 2 foam pads inside the panel that I believe are supports for the back of the touch screen, many videos say that you can remove these with a heat gun and transfer them, I had no such luck. I heated my panel up several times and each foam strip just ripped when I tried to pull it up with a scrapper. It would be nice it they included the foam strips as well as the tape that is used to stick down the antenna wires. Other than a few small issue during assembly this panel does work and will hopefully work until we decide to get a new laptop. I would highly recommend watching a vidoe on YouTube that shows the tear down process as there are many small details that are many small details that can be missed. One final thing I will mention is to clean the hinges while you have them out, they may be dirty and can be a cause for the mounts breaking. Time will tell how long this panel will hold up, I will post updates if I ever have any issues. Thanks for reading.

Brass inserts to repair the HP plastic hinge breakage problem
Correct size and fit to replace the HP top that has all plastic mountings for the hinges. The brass inserts on this new top are much stronger and more reliable than the original all plastic assembly that came with the X360 laptops.
