It actually weighs! Down to 1g
Really great weighing scales. It actually weighs out 1g and easily weighs things bow 10g - important for bread making. Press the tare button once and it zeros. Press it again and it turns off, simple. Display is obvious to read. It's made good quality, and seems to work even where the worktop is slightly unflat.

Great value scales.
I am on a calorie controlled diet and needed scales to weigh my food. Read lots of reviews on the internet and decided that these scales should do the job. So easy to use and perfect for the purpose. Only takes seconds to get an accurate result and now in continuous use. Noted one review that mentioned the top of the scales was a bit small. True you can't read the scales if using a dinner plate but no different to any other small scales, just use a bowl as I do. I couldn't ask for anything better. Buy one at the great price on Amazon, you won't be disappointed.

Perfect little scales for a great price
The scales are well designed - small enough to slot into the cupboard but big enough to weigh everything I need. I tend to use it for making dough or more complex recipes. Iโm happy with the accuracy; much better than my previous mechanical ones. The scales also look pleasing (I bought the red one to fit in with other kitchen appliances). It feels light and made from plastic, but doesnโt look tacky - and for the price it is absolutely perfect.

Good scales for the price, but I wouldn't pay much more for these
These seem to be generally good scales, they're accurate and easy to use. However you can tell they're not expensive, they look a little cheap, and the weighing platform occasionally comes off. Although the fact this comes off so easily isn't entirely bad, as it means it's also easy to remove for cleaning. I can remove it and wash it up properly, without worrying about getting the electronic parts wet - since the unit isn't sealed in any way it would potentially be very easy to get water inside the mechanism and cause a short circuit if you aren't careful!

Great little scales, good selection of units, quick, displays minus amounts
Really useful scales - sadly mainly used to check quantities of food on a diet! Good selection of units of weight and the usual tare function which zeroes the current ingredients to add more, quick to start. Also I'm pleased to see that it also displays minus weight if you zero the display and then remove contents - can be surprisingly useful once you know it's there. I too was surprised to see the advice not to leave anything on the scales when not in use - not sure whether to take this seriously or not as it seems unlikely to cause damage but just in case . . .

Great Value For Money
I bought these scales after my Salter digital scales ( with the lifetime guarantee ! ) broke, far too much hassle to send them back so I bought these after I saw the review on America's Test Kitchen on YouTube, I am not disappointed, they are very well made ,accurate, and best of all the bowl doesen't obscure the reading, very well thought out, easy to clean and small enough to fit into a drawer, looks nice when out and great value for money.

Stopped working after 35 days
Worked really well for 35 days. Really happy with it. Then it stopped working. Will turn on but Buttons will not reset, change until or turn it off. Also measurement number does not stay still so unable to read the display.

If this review helps in any way Positive or Negative Please hit HELPFUL!!! It will help encourage me to continue my real reviews of products I've purchased. Pros: * Deadly accurate could be used as your postal scale if you wanted * Weighs up to 11 lbs. (I've only used for up to 4 but did with no problem) * Tare weight is quick and easy* Reasonable price under $20 * Seven colors available (I went with green and now up a buck) * Price varies by just over $5 by color for same scale so pick by color or price * Accurate and quickly changes units. * Will start in whatever unit was last used * Easy to clean * Fits and works from inside 1 gallon zip lock if you truly want slop protection Cons: * Plastic * I guess you could be upset at $5 spread in price, but I see it as a choice. ;) Yes I'd buy this scale again. I use it for weighing out meat for making cat food. A few years ago scales like this were well over $20. Update: 11/9/2019 Yes I just bought another one of these scales. No mine didn't break; I bought it for my daughter. These scales have many uses in the kitchen, and also come in handy for Amazon Reviews when you are discussing the weight of an item ;) Thank you for reading my review: Again Please give this review a thumbs up. It is real. I've been on Amazon as a customer for over twenty years, and now a top 1000 reviewer. I don't get compensated for my reviews. (Not that I wouldn't like to be.) I pay for Amazon Prime so I get any of the perks that come with my Prime membership.

Easy to operate and read. Just big enough for anything you care to weigh, and compact enough for easy storage. I even use it to check my weightier my USPS 1st class letters!

Updating again 2/2024: Still works perfectly after 7 years daily use! The best $10-ish Iโve spent on kitchen equipment. โโ- Update 1/2022: at 45 months still using daily probably more than orig review; still an excellent little scale for larger-than-a-gram measures; still measures accurately. โโ- Used now for 32 months: accurate, gram-calibrated small food scale. Used daily a minimum of 3 times a day, add in randomly grabbing it while cooking we probably average about 45 separate uses (turning on, weighing, changing units & turning off) per week over 32 months. We've replaced the batteries once during that time. Because this is a gram-calibrated scale it is not accurate to the hundredth of an ounce; for example when weighing flour I can't get exactly 15 ounces, I can get 14.99 or 15.03 (as 1 gram is .03527 ounce.) If weighing spices or tiny portions of anything you'll end up doing some guessing with results & having to get a feel for the unit. Apparently all reasonably priced digital scales are calibrated to the gram. Three negatives: 1. because of its small format it's sometimes difficult to measure larger amounts or use with larger bowls or plates (the offset for that is it doesn't take much space at all & we can leave it out for easy grabbing). 2. very minor, it has to be completely still on the counter to zero the tare & turn off, if you're moving it at all then it can't get a proper read & it won't turn off unless it's zeroed. Suspect that's true of all digital scales. 3. it automatically turns off after 2 minutes, a nice feature unless you're interrupted or don't have all your ingredients ready to go; you can end up having it turn off on you while weighing which isn't fun when you're taking full advantage of the tare function & adding ingredients to each other.
