Must have! Easy to use and take on the GO!
The Westinghouse 2200 Peak Watt Super Quiet & Lightweight Portable Inverter Generator is a reliable and efficient power source that is perfect for anyone looking for a quiet, compact, and lightweight generator. One of the standout features of this generator is its quiet operation. With a noise level of only 52 decibels, it is quieter than most conversation levels. This makes it perfect for camping trips or other outdoor activities where you don't want to disturb your surroundings. Despite its quiet operation, it delivers an impressive 2200 peak watts of power, which is enough to power a wide range of devices and appliances. The generator is also incredibly lightweight and compact, making it easy to transport and store. It weighs only 43 pounds, making it one of the lightest generators in its class. It also features an ergonomic handle, which makes it easy to carry, even over long distances. The generator's efficient inverter technology ensures that it delivers clean and stable power to your devices, while also reducing fuel consumption and emissions. This is especially important during times of emergency when power outages occur, as it ensures that you can keep your critical appliances and devices running. I had the opportunity to use this generator during a hurricane, and it was a lifesaver. When the power went out, I was able to use the generator to power my refrigerator, which kept my food from spoiling. I was also able to charge my phone and other devices, which kept me connected to the outside world. The generator's quiet operation was also a huge plus, as it allowed me to run it without disturbing my neighbors. In fact, it was so quiet that I barely noticed it was running. This was a huge relief, as the last thing I wanted to do was add to the stress of the situation. Overall, I would highly recommend the Westinghouse 2200 Peak Watt Super Quiet & Lightweight Portable Inverter Generator to anyone looking for a reliable and efficient power source. It is perfect for camping trips, outdoor activities, and emergency situations. Its quiet operation, lightweight design, and efficient inverter technology make it one of the best generators in its class.

Great little generator !
It’s easy to handle. Very easy to set up and use. Very Quiet. The instructions were easy to follow. It started up on one pull of the cord, It was so quiet I didn’t realize it had started on the first pull. This was purchased for traveling about . Nice and small and light. The price was excellent . Can’t wait for my next trip…***Update:update:update.*** Not very happy with their customer support been trying to order extra spare parts but unable to . Website they provide for parts ordering doesn’t work . Ordering form doesn’t recognize the part numbers that’s supplied in the manual . When called all you get is a tape recording to leave a callback number. But nobody calls back. I’ve tried locally to get parts but but can’t find other brands that cross match the original . The gen. Starts great right now but when it’s time to replace plugs, filters etc. then what. Growing up Westinghouse house was a well respected brand but now I don’t feel like they care about their customers . So do more research on this before buying. If this issue is resolved I’ll Re update this review. John M.

It's light, it's quiet, it's perfect.
After doing rounds and rounds of research on this brand and model, I am thoroughly pleased with my purchase. Prepping the unit for it's first use was a very simple and easy process. It started on the first crank and it has not failed to impress me since. I've used it thus far at field events where there is no electricity nearby, and this generator has performed reliably. My favourite feature is the LED control panel which shows you all the vital stats of the unit, especially the fuel level and remaining run time. All in all, this unit is money well spent and Westinghouse has been well rated officially in my book.

Good price, tolerable noise, and accurate watt production.
I have only had this generator for 2 days, so just my first thoughts really. If anything changes my opinion after long term use, I will update this review. Initial startup was not so easy, it just wouldn't start. After checking the airbox, the filter was smashed into the intake (nothing really securing it). I then drained the carb, so I knew at least gas was getting to the carb. I then pulled the plug and there was no spark. I know there are CO and oil sensors but both the oil and the air outside should be ok. After messing with this thing for about an hour I checked the spark and this time it was good, no idea what changed in that time and it does give me some concern. Although after it was running it seemed to never have a problem again. All starts since have been on the first or second pull. I used the oil provided and ran the generator with no load for 1 hour. I then drained the oil and did see quite a bit more metal in the oil than I was expecting. Put in new full synthetic 5w-30 and ran with no load for another hour. Drained the oil again and there were minimal flecks, looked like sparkly dust flakes. Filled it back up and then did some tests under load. The closet I could get to 1800w was running two small space heaters that pulled 1700w to 1750w. I ran these for about 45 minutes and called it good. It is pretty noisy at full load, I don't have a way to measure it but it would be hard to have a conversation with it 10 ft away. I mean you could but you would be raising your voice more than I'd like. So far it seems like a great little generator. It provides more than enough watts for my use case and the noise level is acceptable.

Westinghouse iGen2200
This is the second iGen2200 I purchased. I have a whole house Wen generator I use during extended power outages. The problem with a whole house system is the large quantity of fuel required to run them. 16 gallons per 24 hour duration for my application. Hurricane Ian, a huge multi county devastating storm that effected my area knocking out power for weeks, created a situation where fuel was difficult to obtain. Within a couple of days, homeowners had run out of stored generator fuel, forcing those who could, to drive pretty good distances to find gas. Literally thousands of people descending on the closest available stations with fuel. Stations understandably would have a 2 or 3 gas can refill limit. Easy to imagine the problems with that. I had purchased an iGen2200 a couple years ago to cover short term, small power requirements, and am glad I did. After dealing with a stressed fuel supply I started to augment the iGen2200 into my daily power plan. To conserve fuel I would run the whole house system for a few hours each morning and then again for a couple hours before the sun went down, the rest of the time, if we needed power, I would run the 2200. The 2200 was the perfect size with 1800 continuous watts, which would easily handle my wife's CPAP, fans, lights TV/radio, etc., it would run 13 to 14 hours on a gallon of gas, it is portable, very quiet, 50 hours of run time between oil changes, always starts on one pull. I also like the power saving mode. I bought a second 2200 to run parallel for intermittent larger load requirements like hot plates, electric fry pans etc. The new iGen2200 started first pull right out of the box. My point to all this is that large, whole house generators are good for short duration (2 to 3 days) outages, but small, portable inverter generators can play an important role providing economic power with fantastic fuel consumption rates.

Dont do it
I bought the Westinghouse 1500 Peak Watt Generator expecting it to be a reliable unit for camping, and at first, it actually performed well. It started easily, ran smoothly, and handled light loads without any issues. For the short time it worked, I was genuinely satisfied with its performance. Unfortunately, that didn’t last. After roughly one season of very light use, around 20 total hours, the engine seized up completely. This was especially frustrating because I followed all recommended maintenance. I changed the oil after the break-in period, used high-quality synthetic oil, and always stored the generator indoors when it wasn’t in use. It was never abused or overworked. Given how carefully it was maintained and how little it was used, a failure this severe is hard to overlook. A generator like this should last significantly longer than 20 hours.

GOOD POWER FOR THE PRICE
I bought this generator with the idea of temporary back up unit, because my primary unit was with mechanical problems (No current output). The nature of my job require everyday generator- use because we do mobile car's window tinting; we need power enough to feed a 2000 watts heatgun. My Yamaha generator inverter i2800 was running smooth for 18 years and now is in Yamaha Service to fix the problem.-- Unfortunately the cost of the repair reach eleven hundred bucks which no make sense pay it because a new one unit cost 1,400 bucks aprox. I start using this blue guy and feel happy with the purchase.- Among the advantages I can mention the following: Very compact size.- (Half volume than mi Yamaha) The noise is very quiet (Of coarse push less power than Yamaha) but run smooth because the inverter capability.- The weight is very maneuverable (40-45 pounds); The foot are rubber which is a good idea because absorbs the vibration when you run it in hard surfaces like the bed of my work truck. Oil and spark location very easy to reach and come with tools to do the task easier. MY JUST COMPLAINT (and this is the reason of 4stars) Is the gasoline tank capacity. Why they didn't a little bigger the tank. Is less than a gallon. we have to stop more frequently in the gas station. I had to buy a small gasoline container to keep a quart of gas in case of running out of gas in the middle of the job. (Yamaha tank was 1.9 gallons) I don't like keep gasoline in the truck to refill generator but is the way that have to go. Price was very cheap in comparison my Yamaha and I know I can't expect the durability of Yamaha or Honda; but the price tag is affordable and I am happy really with the guy blue which is my primary generator now.

Fuel line came cut
Never got a chance to run it. As I was filling it with fuel for the first time, it started leaking out the bottom of the generator. I removed to side cover to see the fuel line was cut and gas had leaked all over the coil and electronics. It’s not safe to run now as any sparks from the electrical system will lead to a fire for sure.

Terrible generator, online reviews not trustworthy
Bought this generator because of the high praise of online review. Did all the necessary break in steps with all the necessary oil changes. Then put away till I need it. Well, I needed it now and it starts and run but whenever there is even a slight load change, the generator surges and the lights inside the house flickers. This is definitely not right and not acceptable. Don’t know what this is doing to my electronics. Definitely not happy with this generator and wouldn’t recommend.
