Arrived on time. Well packaged. Nice & heavy, strong @ well constructed. Wire legs are strong and don’t bend easy but that’s good as I don’t want these coming out unexpectedly!! I simply put it in at an angle and squeezed in the next few legs on both sides at the same time as I made my way all the way round. Then I pushed it down until the bends met the top of the pots. Fit great. Solid. Secure. Perfect and IMO look much neater than the ones with external jubilee clips.

Leaking Chimneys - Cumbria and Storm Desmond in 2015 so you get the picture. Have bought 5 to stop rainwater getting down some disused chimneys pots on a functional stack - Pretty good l suppose - fairly solid in construction. They do take a bit of getting in so it’s difficult to imagine them being blown out by a high wind. I have another chimney stack to rebuild so will probably get more to sort out the disused chimney pots on that one. I wouldn’t spend £80 on the clay cowels from a builders supply yard. These seem to do the job no problem at £18 each.

As we're plagued with jackdaws trying to nest in our chinneys having a barrier to stop them is essential. I've used all sorts of cowls and covers over the years and none have been anywhere as well made as these ones. I bought 3 for my house and all were easy to fit except one which had a slightly smaller diameter chimney to fit into. Although I am quite strong I found bending the vertical rods into the smaller chimney to be a major struggle as they are very thick and have limited flexibility. However, once fitted I know we will have no worries about this cover ever being blown off in strong winds. Really well made, they fix securely to the chimney with no tools required and they are a great price too. All round I'm a happy buyer here so I'd definitely recommend these covers as they will last for many years.

Brilliant service and product

Had some fun with finding a ladder to reach high enough but it was worth the effort. It is very sturdy and a tight fit, so far with stood 50mph gusts of wind, rain is no longer blasting down the chimney.

These are great strong bird cages that the jackdaws will not be ripping out in a hurry. I have already recommended them to a neighbour, and our jackdaws are most disgruntled by their arrival. The birds walk around the pot staring mournfully at the cages! The cages are pretty easy to install, but the whole operation depends on how easy it is to get access to the top of the chimney of course. We had to hire a cherry picker, but it was worth it.
