I originally bought a glass one but im not keen on how heavy they are. Switched to this measuring jug and I much prefer this item. It doesnt look too cheap, and the blue font stands out enough to be clear to read. I needed it for when I do baking and it has been perfect. Only negative is the sticker is stuck to the container!! Bit annoying

I bought this Chef Aid 1 litre measuring jug, mainly just to replace an old one, and it’s ended up being something I use pretty much daily. The first time I used it, I noticed how clear the markings are. I don’t have to tilt it or guess, I can just look straight on and measure quickly, which makes things easier when I’m in the middle of cooking. The size is ideal as well. 1 litre feels just right, big enough for most things without being awkward to handle or store. I have been using it for different things like measuring water, milk, and mixing, and it’s been consistent and easy to use every time. What I like most is how lightweight but still sturdy it feels. It’s easy to pick up and pour without feeling flimsy. Cleaning it has been straightforward too, just a quick rinse and it’s ready again. It’s one of those simple kitchen items that doesn’t seem like much, but once you have a good one, you end up reaching for it all the time.

These measuring jugs are ideal for any modern kitchen. Because they are plastic, instead of glass, they are lightweight, but durable and most importantly, WON'T smash if you drop them!!! With a 1litre capacity and measurements clearly visible on the sides, these make an excellent addition to any kitchen.

Extremely disappointed in this product in regard to the sticky label attached to the outside of the jug. As a recent purchaser of 6 of the measuring jugs I found it impossible to easily remove the label or at all. Even when you have removed the paper front to the label you are left with a sticky, gummy residue on the surface of the jug, which I had to resort to the use of strong chemicals to remove. Not really what you want to be using where cookware is involved. Much time and additional expense incurred in removing the sticky gummy residue, which also smeared badly as you attempted to remove it. I am not the first person to complain about this particular issue and by now it should have been fed/referred back to the manufacturer by somebody, somewhere. Very surprised that it is an Amazon's Choice. Had the jug been manufactured in China this particular issue would not be present. Their attention to small details is just unbelievable. A wholly insufferable and unacceptable situation and state of affairs. The 6 jugs purchased for a specific purpose which as soon as that has been met the jugs will be junked for the negativity that they have created. £20 down the drain for little or no return.
