Awesome, supportive hiking boots!
I started hiking last year and got a different pair of Nortiv 8 hiking shoes. I've gotten really into hiking and wanted a new pair with a little more ankle support. These were on sale so I got them. I wore them yesterday for the first time without having broken them in at all, and hiked about 7 miles over very rocky, steep terrain and I felt like I could climb Mt. Everest in these!!!! They are SO comfortable. Plenty of room in the toebox when descending. Incredible grip from the luggy soles. The soles are quite thick and I couldn't feel the rocks beneath my feet (good thing). The ankle support is amazing and I climbed up, down and over steep rocky sections with ease. I can't speak to the waterproofness yet as it wasn't raining or wet at all. They are lightweight and aren't the least bit heavy on the feet while hiking which is actually kind of surprising just based on their size. I'd have expected the soles to feel heavy and draggy but they're exactly the opposite, I felt so light on my feet in these. Color is neutral enough to go with anything (I don't make a fuss about matching my hiking boots with my outfit, to be honest, I just want to be comfortable). I think these will be great for colder weather hiking too. Highly highly recommend these!!

So comfortable and do what they are meant to do.
I have had these shoes now for about a month and 1/2 and wear them every day and I just had to write a review. I have needed a good waterproof, comfortable shoe to wear every day while I do chores on my farm. I had been wearing barn shoes and although they are comfortable, they tend to get a little stiff feeling by the end of the day making my feet feel tired. So I began looking for a more comfortable shoe that would hold up to daily wear and tear. I ordered the 6 and 1/2 to give my toes a little more room and they fit perfectly. And so very comfortable!! So much so that by the end of the day, I don't want to take them off! They are water proof, at least for the filling and cleaning of water troughs. I haven't worn them in standing water so cannot vouch for how they would do in that scenario. I can walk over rocky terrain as these provide good traction and I don't feel the rocks through the soles so much, which is a plus. I wear them to do errands as well. I cannot tell you how warm they would be in cold weather as I have not had them that long, but I can tell you that my feet have not felt too hot in this warmer weather so they must have decent ventilation. They are really cute and did I mention they were comfortable? If you are on the fence about buying these shoes, I say, do it, as you will not be disappointed. Oh and by the way, they are so comfortable!

Great Bang for one's Buck... Fits True to Size and Super Light Weight.
I'm surprised by the quality of these NORTIV Hiking Boots out of the box. Packaging was great, they arrived earlier than expected, but more than that, no visibly loose threads. Super light weight. Easy to slip on. I'm using these in the tropics at the moment and meant to use them strictly in my family's garden. I wanted to keep my feet safe from the sun and the reflective sunlight that would normally sting (and rocks!).It's great. I don't feel my feet sweating or stinging which is a first. Ever.I purposely walked through puddles. I was amazed that my socks were dry. These breathe/dry amazingly in warm evironments but I have no doubt that they will serve others well in varied environments with the slighest wind. They also dry quick and clean easy should you encounter a deep puddle (3-4") but still not yet fully submerged. It's only been a few days but I've put them through some use and they come out looking new. My feet are not roasting either. In my opinion they can be used for multiple climates, or transitions of climates in a hike. (Warm to cool/ tropical to varied alpine but NOT arctic conditions). They seem to mold with your feet/ foot shape. The supports are more comfortable than I expected. I was expecting to have to break these in. Not at all. The arch supports are not too extreme (again it's labelled as a hiking boot), and I love the ankle support in that it's not a fixed setting, which allows anyone to do as they please with the laces (to put it simply), the padding is not overly thick, the tongue is just right. In the 'toe box' there is just the right enough of space to give support as well without cramping or toe clenching. I felt no slipping either. The soles surprised me. Yesterday I was able to explore my uncle's cavernous property without slipping or skidding. I never dared to do so before. Talk about grip!!! If you need these to assist you with mobility, give them a try. I'm glad I did. These can definitely be used daily in that sense.Note... There has been no foul odor upon drying in the sun, or without it in a sunless area. At this time I've seen no discolorization, staining, or spotting either. However, I do believe a windy/ breezy area may play a vital part.Lastly, and more importantly... if you have a wider foot, order them wide. As someone with thinner feet they feel just right in the tropics. If you have to wear thicker socks, long johns, or thermals; go half a size up.

Great boot! Not for snow/ice.
I got these for a trip to Banff! I did mostly easy-moderate hikes, but they definitely came in handy. They’re good for trails, rocks, and mildly wet terrain. There was one day where I used them on a snowy path and really struggled with slipping so I would definitely go another route if you’re looking for boots for snow/ice. They fit true to size and were comfortable! I wore good hiking socks (Dickies brand) everyday and never had blisters or anything like that. Overall 4.5 stars!

Great value and quality
Great shoes for the price, I’m really surprised. Sturdy, grippy, water resistant without being overly hot, comfortable and even somewhat cute. No break in period needed, although I always get hiking shoes in 1-1,5 size bigger than my regular size.

Comfortable and sturdy; but when walking, they sound like a candy wrapper
Just got these boots yesterday and I wore them today on a two mile walk. They are very comfortable. I wear an 8 1/2 in women's boots. This is the size I ordered and they fit perfectly. After a straight two mile walk on a dirt road, my feet feel great. They're not achy or tired. I did notice my feet felt really warm during the last quarter mile of my walk, but this could be from an elevated body temperature and wearing cotton socks.I did briefly go off the beaten path leaving the dirt trail for the woods. There were no issue with the terrain. The shoes managed the ground, the leaves, the branches and the bugs just fine. lolI ordered the brown color and they look great on my feet and I like that I can wear them with just about anything. I have to add these boots were purchased expressly for hiking in the back woods. Once the terrain dries out from the recent rains, I will see how these boots hold up after a three mile hike in the woods. On a side note: these boots are noisy. Not sure why? When walking, it sounds like I have a candy wrapper inside the boot. Is this from the material they use to form the tongue of the shoe? Perhaps its the material used to make the boots waterproof? It's most noticeable on the right boot; although the left one is also producing the same sound, but it's not as loud. (See attached video) This is not a deal breaker for me unless these boots don't hold up to rugged terrain. And perhaps the sound will diminish or go away completely after some use? I'm curious to know if anyone else has noticed this same noise when walking in their boots?Even though the noise from the bending of the boot during walking is a little odd, aside from that I'm very pleased with my purchase. I'm hopeful they'll hold up for more aggressive activity in the future.

Foot Pain
I purchased these for hiking in Alaska. I have foot issues and upon initial try on the felt super supportive and comfortable. We hiked for about a mile and a half and I started to get foot pain, but only in 1 foot. My right foot felt AMAZING and no issues, but my left food was screaming. Comparing right to left I feel they do fit slightly different. I was hopeful these would work, but sadly I will have to find a different boot. Be cautious. I will say they were waterproof as stated, my feet were dry walking in water.

Excellent
I don't write a lot of reviews but I had to with these. I have been wearing them everyday since April doing HVAC on my feet in attics and crawl spaces and new construction sites covered in mud. They have held up so good it's unbelievable! I never got a blister even in 140 degree attics where every article of clothing was literally dripping wet. I do have my orthopedic inserts but they are actually on the harder side due to me having plantar fasciitis. I just am amazed at how $40 boots have blown my mind. I think they are amazing especially for the price.

Fit me like a glove, like them so much I've just got a 2nd pair!
Love these so much I've just bought a second pair! They have been so comfortable, I haven't had to wear them in!They're nice and warm in the rainI've been in pouring rain, mud, puddles, by the sea,in the shallow part of a river and up mountains with these boots. I keep waiting for my toes to get wet but so far so good! They've really surprised and surpassed my expectations! And I don't just wear them every now and then, I'm a dog walker so I wear them every day 7 days a week, up to 10 miles walking a day!I've got ankle support, I've still got bounce in the soles !Really pleased with themAnd for fit, I'm a 4 5 UK size, it's rare that I can get my size. So I ordered the 4.5 UK and they fit me like a glove.
