Waited until I actually needed this and used it. My '99 Dakota wouldn't turn over because the dome light was left on. Easy to hook up and worked to start the 318 cu in/5.2L truck engine right away.

Works well, but hard to store. Suggest not letting it freeze.

I did not get to use it for real, but it is solidly built, read-outs are clear and it is a hefty battery which holds a large amount of charge. All functions other than jumping a car work as described.

After it arrived, I charged it overnight. Then I placed it back in its original bag and then into the original box to keep for emergencies. It remained in the garage for several weeks. It was never dropped or exposed to water or excessive heat. I had the occasion to actually use the jump starter and it seems to be dead. Lights don’t come on when I turn it on. I tried charging it but nothing. Very disappointing. I contacted their customer service through Amazon, but no reply. I requested a return through Amazon from the company and after several days no reply. Would avoid this product.

I have 3 of the XP-10s and have used them often for many years. Bought the XP-20 for work where we have to jump start diesel equipment, trucks, etc. in the winter. First time I brought it our to jump start a semi that was dead in our loading area the guy literally laughed at me. 2 minutes later when his truck was running he apologized and took a pic so he could buy one for himself. We keep one in each vehicle and one in the boat.
