Not as good as I hoped
I bought this in order to supplement our cell phones when at home due to spotty cell coverage at our house. It works, but for some reason the calls come in and out. There's no way it can be my router or networking equipment because I'm able to constantly stream HD movies from Netflix, Amazon, iTunes, YouTube, etc. via the same exact router and switch with no problems at all. Every time this thing drops a call, nothing else connected to the same switch even experiences a blip, therefore it must be the Magicjack. Perhaps the Magicjack doesn't play well with thr brand of router/switch/modem I have, but for whatever reason, it certainly doesn't work as good as it's supposed to and thus we still use our cell phones despite the low signal strength. Furthermore, we can make use FaceTime on our iPhones and computers with no issues at all, including just FaceTime audio calls. So if Apple products can make clear, unbroken connections over the same networking equipment, why cant Magicjack? It may work flawlessly for some people, but based on my experience, it's just not reliable enough to use regularly.

Magic Jack Plus Fine So Far
I have had this for about 2 weeks so far and it is fine for the money I guess, although I'd rather have my ObI110 any day.I bought this because there was no other company that could compare to the way Google worked with it, they were all too expensive for me :)I guess that shows how spoiled I am by using the OBI for so long without a glitch at all!The Magic Jack cut me off in 90 minutes the first time I used it..... A recording came on and said "all circuits are busy, please call again later" that was irritating. I am also used to talking as long as I want to without cut offs that surprised me. I have been cut off several time since then also. The item was super easy to install however, just hoping it will last long enough to get back what I paid for the unit .I do have a question for any one out there that has one. I hooked it up to my router and it seems to feel so hot to the touch. I don't remember that happening when it was plugged in to the computer directly. Has anyone else noticed that? Thanks for any response .

Magicjack plus Single pack + 6 months free service
It took about 9 days to change from Cox phone service to MagicJack service. On Cox end my house phone could not receive incoming or outgoing calls for 6-7 days. After they gave up their phone number so it could come over to Magic-jack's service everything was working after 9 days. I'm still on the 6 month free trial but I think I will sign up for the 5 year plan when it's up as it's even cheaper.1) I had to go to Magic-jack's typing support and she told me how to update my 2013 MagicJack to 2014. I thought I was buying 2014 but when I received it - there was something in there that was still 2013. It was pretty simple to change but I had to use my USB on my computer to do it but it works fine without the computer..2) A recent storm knocked power out in our area for 11 hours - so you do not have any phone service during that time.3) Once power came back on, Magic-jack was working fine.

Works really well
I have AT&T Uverse. I used an open ethernet port on my router for the MagicJack so I can use it even when the computer is turned off.Call quality is good. I have a wireless base jacked into the MJ and I can make and receive calls all over the house. 911 registration for my city was an additional $3. I have had no problems either setting it up, initiating service, or making calls. I think the direct-to-router hookup might be the best, and having a notch or two above the basic internet speed. I am not a technical whiz, but I'm very happy with my cheap, cheap phone service.

Poor quality
Never got to use it, my number transferred but it would not ring, I only get messages thru my email . I contact their customer support thru chatting that's the only way to contact them. I chatted with 3 or 4 reps cause after a certain minutes the chat would end I would contact another one and it's the same thing, the chat automatically terminates without resolving the issue so I finally went back to my phone carrier and Majic jack charge me $32,to port back my phone number.

I have used the Magicjack Plus for over 6 months ...
I have used the Magicjack Plus for over 6 months now. I have no complaints, I am not missing out on any features from the Mega company service. Will not allow dialing to teleconference lines and you have to dial all 10 digits on even local calls. We have adjusted to entering the extra 3 digits ..Lol I should have switched a long time ago.

Magicjack Plus has saved me a lot of money
I bought the Magicjack Plus so I could transfer over my home number and cut the connection from Verizon. It has worked flawlessly from the beginning. I especially like that my phone messages are forwarded to my email, allowing me to hear the messages right away.
