Review: High quality extra long drill bit. - I purchased this to drill a 12" long hole in a 2" x 2" piece of oak through the end grain. I had to match up the holes from both sides. The bit was super sharp and cut the red oak like it was butter. I was concerned about deflection as it traveled through that much wood but if there was any, it had to be minimal. I drilled as far as I could on one side and turned the piece over to drill a connecting hole from the other end. The two met up perfectly. I'm happy with this purchase. Item arrive on time and in a protective plastic case that I use to store it in. Review: Reasonably priced long, sharp drill bit - Used this bit to drill precision holes into an 8' long rough sawn hidden fastener shelf. Needed the length to be able to drill hole for wall support rods 7" deep with a 1.5" centering jig. Stayed sharp after drilling 6 holes into pretty tough hardwood. Would buy again.
