Nice tool. It’s easy to use and includes instructions. Good for bending large copper tubes and small stainless steel tubes.

I bought this tool for my first metalworking project – building a cargo rack for my motorcycle. On my first try, I skipped the manual (who reads it anyway) and ruined a piece of pipe. But after that quick lesson, my second attempt went perfectly. I used it to bend 1/2" x 1/16" steel tubing, which is probably at the upper limit of what this tool is designed for. Still, it handled the job with ease and bent the tubing with impressive precision. For the price, this tool is an absolute steal. It delivers great performance without breaking the bank. Highly recommended for any DIYer or beginner getting into metalwork!

This bender works pretty well for making smooth bends in flexible tubing. The design opens up, so you can use it to bend tubing anwhere along it's length, or even a tube that is already connected - meaning it just clamps over the tube wherever instead of having to slide over the end of the tube. Works really well on the smaller tubing, takes a little arm strength for the 1/2" tube, but that is to be expected. Easy and straightforward to use, if I had any advice I would say if you are not sure how much to bend a tube to get it to fit, make a smaller bend than you think you need, then bend it tighter a little at a time until it is right, rather than overbending it, and having to try to straighten the tube. It is so easy to re-grab the tube to bend it more that it hardly takes any extra time, and then the bends look 'perfect'. Whenever I overbend something, then try to straighten out the bend, it seems to make the bend look a little 'warped' for lack of a better way to put it. Has markings for common bend angles with 45* and 90* being prominently marked. Might take a couple tries to get it exactly at 45 or 90, hence my suggestion to err to underbend rather than overbend. Once you do a couple bends, it isn't hard to get it right. Pretty well made for the money.

I bended 5/8" OD, 1/16" wall aluminum, which is way over what this bender is designed for. I used the 1/2" groove and it scratched a little into my pipe. I had to use a 3 ft pipe extension and clamp the bender in a vice, and still it was hard to bend. The bender survived !

Obviously, if this thing did as advertised, I wouldn't have a bunch of useless copper lines and my ductless would have been installed. It's probably me and the lack of proper instruction or available expertise, since I recognize that the design and mechanics appears appropriate. I'm a big Vevor fan, so it's not a quality for an instructional issue.
