Tefal is expensive at some points but word the money value

This is a really nice masher. It is nice and hard which is great because it doesnt bend when you are mashing.The back lip is good because it manages to squeeze the sides of the pan and the plastic doesnt damage any pan you have.The only issue is cleaning, its a royal pain in the neck, if you have a dishwasher you might be ok, but for handwashing it was a nightmare to clean, i soaked it but i still had to scrub it.That said, i would however buy it again because its the best masher i have bought for years.

I like things to match, so as I've got the other Tefal utensils and the Tefal pots & pans, I wanted this to complete the set. You can almost certainly find similar products at a cheaper price, but this is well made and will last for many years. It also has nice details, such as the silicone rubber on the handle, which stops it rolling over when placed on the counter. You can also use it to rest on the side of the pan, without falling in.

I like this masher because it is easy to use and to wash. The red Silicone part on the handle is good for bashing residue back into the pan without damage, but maybe a little too bouncy as I find some bits of potato fly up in the air, landing over the worktop and in my face. I will have to learn not to bash so hard. It is quite wide and will not fit into a standard cutlery drawer.

Much prefer this masher to any I have used before, sturdier than other plastic or metal and plastic, good in non stick pans and I love the raised edge which is great round the edges of the pan, larger spaces means it is easier to clean but doesn't reduce its ability to mash!

Expensive but the design is so solid and effective that it is worth it. Having no outer rim means the mashing is always smooth and consistent.

Perfect in every way, and mashed like a chef

Husband made mash last week, came in raving about it -- guess that's a win :) I've stuck to the old fashioned wavy stainless model, because other designs and materials just don't do the job properly. But we're using induction cooktop now, requiring new pans, and I don't want to damage the stone surface, so I had to find something I could live with. Apparently I've succeeded :) It's strong enough to mash, the design of the masher works beautifully, unlike so many others. No damage to pan surfaces. The added feature of the rim protector on the handle is brilliant.
