Sturdy, Beautiful and very spiky for grip. Also they do not easily free rotate so they stay in place more than an average pedal. Love them

Classic look and well made

The bear claws are a sweet addition to any bike decore.... they're definitely sharp and noticeable. They feel like they grip your feet a little extra while pedaling.

First off, these pedals are just as sweet as they were in the 80s. I'll buy them again. I'm deducting 2 stars because some joker tightened the shafts so tight they wouldn't spin. Tight as can be. I took them apart and fixed this. We'll see how long the bearings last.

Fit well but the threads were a bit short and didnt go all the way through the cranks but are solid enough for the abuse I put them through. Even after several extremely rocky rides on the trails around here the reflectors still are attached to the pedals. The teeth are almost too sharp, watch out for shin/calf busters! You will be bleeding! Overall, 9.9 of 10.

These things creak like crazy

I added these pedals to my ride recently. I read the reviews that indicated they were delivered too tight in the spindle and inadequately lubricated. So, I knew what to expect. They are not of the quality of Hutch bear traps or other sealed bearing race pedals from my BMX days, but I am not of that quality anymore either. I recommend taking them apart in a clean area where small bearings won't disappear as when I backed out the spindle I realized that they don't have a secure bearing race or cage. They are loosely held against the spindle and inset nut that has a shallow race. That said, I tooled them to smooth and loose in about 5 minutes per pedal. They look great and are better than the Shimano DX knock off styled pedals that came with my OM Flyer. Go ride or be a kook!!
