Quality buckles, material, design! And I look cool!
My first concern was the buckles, when I pulled it out of the package, boy was I glad to see good quality buckles! Overall the materials seem sturdy and it feels well made and the brown looks fire! It had plenty of room for my freedom seed dispenser, and the essential med gear along with a couple other EDC items. This is my first Eberlestock item, and I can see the future, there will be more!

An Excellent Motorcycle Bag
I know most people are here buying this for a CCW but I bought this product with the sole purpose of carrying my action camera equipment and a few other EDC items like my wallet and battery bank while riding my not, since storage is minimum on my bike. Mind you I’m using the XL variant Pros: - I ride a yzf-r6r and this a a great solution for carrying all my essentials while I’m doing mountain runs. - Plenty of room, while NOT looking excessively big on your body to the point where it’s awkward looking. extremely comfortable and easy to adjust on the fly, and my favorite part is how the straps aren’t just dangling around like most other bags. - There’s plenty of compartments so you can keep your essentials separated. Id say the bag over all is extremely well built. - I did get the all black color and I love how this bag looks as well, very sleek and a bit of a tactical look to it. Cons: - The only problem I have with this bag is I wish the zippers were higher quality like “YKK” zippers or of a sort. I’d happily pay more money for smoother and much more reliable zippers. - Not to say these zippers are bad but they seem functional with average build quality. Conclusion: - I was extremely happy with my purchase to the point where I legit went out my way to review this. - Mind you my main focus is a storage solution to carry my action camera equipment and EDC items while going fast on a motorcycle.

Very versatile
This is a good bag. Very versatile. As useful out on trails as it is in the city. It works for edc, but unless you're in an area where a lot of people wear packs like this, they're gonna know you're carrying. The extra large zipper handles make it pretty obvious as well. It holds my hellcat pro with holosun 407k, as well as my phone, a multitool, and a small flashlight. I primarily use it when out hiking and my other gear makes access to my waistline difficult.

This is a large durable fanny pack that is suited to conceled carry in my opinion.
I bought this Eberlestock Bando Bag XL - Tactical Men's Fanny Pack for concealed carry during the hot summer weather when shorts and T shirts make it hard to carry anything anything that really suits the purpose of protection. I didn't want anything that looked tactical, and I didn't want it to stand out in a crowd. I also wanted something that would go with different casual summer clothing. I wanted something light weight and water resistant as we are subject to rain and thunderstorms just about anytime in the summer. I wanted it to be durable but not stiff. I didn't want it to be to big or bulky, but big enough for a G 19. This bag larger than I was expecting, but it's a great bag and I will use it more for hiking or walking trails in the woods or mountains, in cooler weather. It will accommodate a larger payload than needed for day to day task and errands in the summer time, but for the above mentioned purposes it will be great. It's a great looking bag and it repels at least enough exposure to rain to get from to or from the car if you happen to get caught. A G 19 fits with a lots of room to spare, even with a small light or laser mounted, with a couple of spare mags in the same compartment. I use a trigger holster/trigger guard anchored to the loop that was thoughtfully sewn into the lower left corner of the bag so I don't put anything in there except for the ccw. If you pull firmly when you draw it will disengage from the holster/guard. A Velcro elastic loop also came with the bag that you could use to hold a spare mag. The dual zipper slides allows unzipping and deployment with either hand. from either side. It has plenty of storage for a couple of mags, cell phone, wallet, small binoculars or whatever you like in the other to compartments. This will accommodate most duty or service size Semi autos easily. Hopefully the pics will put some of this in perspective. I'm glad I bought this bag even though it wasn't appropriate for my original intent. I would have bought a larger one soon anyway.

Good conceal carry bag
High quality bag. Pockets allow for a lot of items to carry. Strap length allows for both Fanny pack style and sling style over the shoulder with an easy adjustment to switch between the two. The conceal carry pocket is very roomy. I can fit a flux raider 365 with a red dot in it. I would prefer it if they switched to a magnetic/velcro style for the cc pocket, as that would allow for a quicker deployment. For a concealed carry bag, it doesn’t look tacti-cool like other options, which is the whole point of “concealing”. Looks like a bag a dad would carry around.

Good quality for everyday carry
Good quality. Got the regular size bag and an Sig 365 with optic fits fine (a 365XL does also). There is a small Velcro strap included that can hold a pistol in position but it’s pretty small. It did actually just stretch around the trigger guard. You can buy larger hook and loop devices that provide greater stability if desired. Good volume available in the other compartments also.

Glad I got the XL
I know there are a lot of comments about the strap being too short, but it seems like that’s been addressed. I’m a 34 inch waist, and I have the strap tightened most of the way down. So you would have to be a lot bigger than me for it to be too small. Also, they included an extension with the bag that adds an extra foot or so. If you’re concerned about the strap being too small, don’t worry about it. As far as CCW compartment size, I’m really glad I got the XL. Right now I’m carrying a 4 inch compact PDP (roughly G19 size), and the XL is just the right size that I can cant the gun diagonally to draw it ergonomically. I imagine the regular size bag would be a really tight squeeze for anything that’s not a subcompact/microcompact. I would recommend the XL to anyone who doesn’t plan on carrying a very small piece. There’s not much that comes with this bag in terms of usable holster accessories, so I would definitely recommend getting something like the crossbreed Velcro holster molded to your particular piece that you can stick to the Velcro in the bag. The other two compartments in the bag are spacious and well thought out. Build quality is good. I’m glad that it doesn’t look overly tactical or scream that you’re carrying. Compared to my 5.11 fanny pack, this is more comfortable and distributes the weight against the body more so it doesn’t feel like it’s sagging. There are two zippers to get to the rear compartment. I would recommend removing the zipper pull that you don’t plan on using so it doesn’t get in the way of the other zipper pull. The only real issue I have is that the zipper sticks a little bit on the corners. I wish that had been addressed a little better in the design. Not a deal-breaker though. Overall it’s a great CCW pack. I like it better than my 5.11 pack for sure.

EDIT APRIL 2026 - Works (for me) as a sling bag
EDIT APRIL 2026: Still love this bag a year and a half later, and carry it every day, but wanted to flag something for readers. I have carried two handguns in this bag (Kel-Tec p32 and S&W bodyguard 2.0) that all occasionally gave me the same problem: while in the bag, the magazine release somehow got depressed, half ejecting the magazine. This is obviously a big problem, but I think it is all issue that all bags like this are susceptible to, not just this one. It's also yet another example of how paddle mag releases are better than push button...but I digress. For now I carry a snubnose .38 revolver in the pistol pouch, which works fine. I carry even more stuff in the other pockets than I did at the time of the review below--I've added eye drops, cash, my keys, a flashlight, a tiny thing of hand sanitizer, and a few more small things. It remains incredibly useful. Just be very careful about the magazine ejection issue. ......................... I didn't want to buy this bag originally because I felt it was unnecessarily expensive, but after buying a cheaper one and being unsatisfied with it, I figured I'd give it a shot. Glad I did. It is very high quality and rugged. I went with the smaller (non-XL) version. It holds everything I need-- .32 ACP Keltec P32 in the pistol pocket; pepper gel, 12" collapsible baton, and tourniquet in the middle pocket; two doses of narcan in the front pocket. I could fit more stuff in the middle pocket if I wanted to, like money or a small wallet. I will say that the pistol pocket on the non-XL version is pretty small. I think you could fit a Shield, EC9, P238, Bodyguard/Bodyguard 2.0, Tomcat, or something similar sized in there, but probably nothing too much larger. Basically anything that could conceivably be called a pocket pistol, even in the larger side of that category, would work. I don't think I could fit my G19 in this, but I haven't tried. There's some discussion about using this bag as an over-the-shoulder sling bag vs fanny pack. I'm a relatively slim guy (5'10 165), and by extending the included belt as far as it would go, I can fairly easily use this as a sling bag. That's how I usually carry it, as I think it's actually less conspicuous (based on where I live and how I look, anyway) than a fanny pack. If you're a big fella or lady, though, it probably isn't going to work, and you may have to get some kind of extension.

Another Quality Eberlestock Product
Always liked Eberlestock, have a few of their packs for EDC and hunting. Figured I’d give this a whirl. In Canada, the CC really doesn’t apply, so probably turn that portion into a spot for sun glasses, but I went with the XL for the touch bigger size allowance, even though I don’t plan on fully blowing it out. Just nice to have the option to carry a bit more when needed. Durability and build quality on par with my other Eberlestock gear, which is to say it’s tough as hell and reliable. Pockets are thoughtfully designed, with internals for a tourniquet, mesh zippered pocket, sleeves, etc. Fits nice, feels comfortable and stashes away easily under a vehicle seat if you don’t want it seen.
