Yopay 10 Pack Media Storage Bottles with GL45 Blue Screw Cap, 250ml Reusable Glass Bottle, Round Scientific Glass Container for Labs, Classrooms or Home Use

These media bottles are surprisingly high quality, for way less than Pyrex, even at this quantity. I have some of both (far more of these), and other than the label, I'm not sure I could distinguish between the glass bottles themselves. In fact, I've seen fewer of these bottles with flaws on the lip than I have of Pyrex bottles. The lids are noticeably rougher than the name brand GL45 lids, but they work just fine. They hold up great when autoclaved (always with a loosened lid), and the pour ring is pretty effective at preventing dribbles. When cranked tight, the lids make a water-tight seal. These are cheap enough that some have found their way into my kitchen. For liquids that will be poured in small quantities (like lemon juice or vinaigrettes), they work better than Mason jars and even the original bottles for some store bought stuff. The dishwasher usually cleans them up nicely. Sometimes a bottle brush is required first to loosen up any stuck on substances, since the shape of the bottle prevents thorough spraying through its mouth. I only rarely remove the pouring ring before washing.

This is my initial review on the day I received my box of 10 bottles on 08-08-2024. As I delve into amateur chemistry I’m finding the need to store more chemicals as I synthesize them. The size is great for chemicals that you won’t be needing or creating in bulk. The jars are fairly large and very sturdy. So far I’ve only used one with a synthesized chemical and I tested for leakage with water on another in the pack. The lids are a nearly perfect (very slightly smaller) 2 inch round “about 50mm” which works out great if you want to use a 2 inch label for the lid. So far, so good. You can’t beat the price. (About $2.20 U.S. per bottle in a 10 pack after tax on this date). I will be testing the durability, with my biggest concern being the lids ability to withstand strong acids and oxidizers, and I will update my review periodically.

Works as advertised seals work great exactly what I needed

For the money, these are pretty amazing. Came packaged with each bottle in it's own foam pocket to prevent breakage. Survived autoclaving and don't drip when poured. Not often am I impressed with a product nowadays with everything seeming to be disposable chinese garbage, but I highly recommend these.

Great bottles for sharing things with friends

I love these bottles! I purchased another box because I use these for juicing.

I have not used these yet, but bought them to dissolve medicine in water to control my dose because I can't get medicine in the prescribed dosage. They are very high quality, but the size is larger than I realized (my fault, because the size is clearly stated). Updated 3/16/25. I am finally using these bottles. They leak!! The ad talks about the special seals to prevent leaks, but they leak! Liquid flies everywhere after tightening the top and shaking. When you open, liquid that was caught under the cap leaks down the side of the bottle. Such a disappointment for what appears to be a high quality product.
