One good investment, good quality, easy to use. If you only have to use one time and free yourself of a venomous snake, it is worth every single dollar. Before going to bed I often just pick through my window shade for no reason. A few days ago I opened my shade and saw my dog jump back in a defensive way, I grabbed my new snake tongue and yes there it was a copperhead, and I just sent it with St Peter. I walked inside and started to think what if there was another snake, I graved the snake tongue again and just went there to double check, guest what? there it was, a 2nd copperhead near, I used the tongue again and delivered the 2nd one to St Peter too.

Super - exactly what I needed. Light enough that you can use at arms length, sturdy enough that it keeps a firm hold on the snake. Really like that it doesn’t harm the snake and you can modulate how much pressure is being exerted. Used it with several large (6’) rat snakes and a few smaller copper heads.

Sturdy, grabs very well, the lock is a bit difficult to on/off but does stay in place. #1 this is a long stick, and the longer the stick is the more difficult it is to maneuver and control. This one is ideal for situations like mine where I have to reach under cars or up into cabinets to pull snakes for the neighbors. #2 add a small wrap of grip tape to the handle and a couple inches down the shaft. This helps a lot with control and keeps it from sliding around, and add a small stripe of bright paint, like nail polish, to make it easy to see the grabber claws in low light.

I needed a grabber for installing insulation batts in my attic where access was limited by a low pitch roofline. Had tried grabbers from local hardware with no success. Saw this all metal 60 inch grabber show up in my Amazon search results. Its advertised as a snake grabber and although the insulation batts I installed were long, they were not snakes, lol. It worked flawlessly for me on my project. The seller should promote this product for more than just catching reptiles. You wont be disappointed with this product.
