Needed a sled to pull weights, as was training for climbing Mount Fuji. Did the job what I wanted. added weights to the sled and pulled this quite well.

I got this for my home gym as it had decent reviews. I would say its on the small side as a sled and you nearly need to be on the ground to do pushes with it. Probably ok as a pull solution but a bit too tricky for me for pushing exercises which was the primary reason i got it. Plus I would say depending on the thickness of your weights too it might limit how much you can load it up

This is heavy duty sled which is well built. It is designed for smooth use and should last indefinitely with proper care. It is highly functional and will make this type of training be done with ease. There is good value for the money and I would recommend this product.

The stainless steel version of this sled is very well made. 304 stainless is the best alloy for this application, being both strong and corrosion resistant. Even the bolts and nuts are stainless. The metal pieces on mine are well formed, perfectly aligned, expertly welded, and nicely smoothed . I couldn't ask for better welding and overall construction. Assembly is straight forward--three SS bolts with 3 matching nylock nuts. Three washers are included, which protect the bottom plate from marring by the tightened nut. You need all three, receive all three, but it would have been nice if they include a spare of each. No tools are included for their attachment, though the size of the components is quite common and most will have the necessary Philips head screw driver and wrench on hand. I have found the bolts and to stay tightened with no need for liquid thread locker--it won't hurt, but for most it won't be necessary It is somewhat small as sleds go, but for many this is an advantage. Larger sleds are great for pushing and use in large spaces like parks or tracks (I have one, but it is not always my preferred to use). Smaller sleds are better suited to back yards and other restricted spaces, as they have a smaller turning radius that can be further reduced by an off center pull. The runners are shorter, so won't span irregularities as well, but the overall size makes the overall sled easier to carry and easier to store. The harness is adequate, not great, but more than adequate for small loads or those of lighter size and body weight. If you are prone to very heavy loads, I'd seek out after market alternatives, but if you are smaller in stature or go with lighter loads, the provided harness is just fine. If you are just starting out, the included harness will educate you as to what features will best satisfy you for an eventual upgrade. I've had this sled now for a couple of months. Because of the weather, I've only used it a dozen or so times--which is slightly more than I've used my larger sled. I'm happy to have both, but if I were limited to my back yard, I'd choose this over my larger, much more expensive sled. It's great to have the choice, but if I were just starting out, I'd pick this one.

Great product! Small but durable and light weight!

I highly recommend this sled. The angled front end makes for smoother running over divots and depressions, "particularly during sprints". The outer metal of the sled is tubular but it is thick and sturdy as are the metal rope loops, I expect this sled to last well over 20 years. I have standard 2-inch Olympic plates and they fit on the plate holder. If your plate holes are smaller than standard they will not fit. I should mention, the only reason I choose this sled is because of the angled front end. I sometimes run on trails in the woods where I encounter raised tree roots. But, if you plan to train exclusively on a level football or soccer field, save some money and buy some of the other sleds, many of which are similarly built. So, the only negative I have is that the body harness is super large. I am 5'8", 150 pounds and the shoulder straps are so loose that they frequently fall of my shoulders. I had to use a small rope to tie the straps together in the center of my chest, that did the trick but I found that simply relying on the adjustable waist belt part of harness worked just as well. Otherwise, the harness is made of nice, fairly thick material, I expect it to last at least five years but more likely ten years or so based on frequency of use. I considered giving 4 stars because the shoulder straps on the body harness are so large but I just really like the sled, so that into consideration if the comfort of the body harness is important to you. If you are tall and/or large the large straps will be a benefit. I should mention, if you have never used a sled before note that no sled has a super smooth slide, instead, the motion will be jerky, particularly when you are performing sprints. However, the longer the rope the smoother the run. The rope that comes with the sled is a standard length (approx. 5 feet) but I recommend buying a 10 to 15 foot rope and tie it to the rope that comes with the sled, trust me it will "greatly reduce" sled jerking and make your exercise more enjoyable. My kids are in foot ball and they love it for at home use, it slides with ease in our yard even goes around wide curves fairly well have had ours for over a year now and continues to work while not tearing up
