Amazing automatic watch
Great materials on the watch for the price, titanium casing and hardware, and sapphire glass front and back. it's a really well made watch, and got tons of personality imo.

It's been said numerous times in many reviews, but this is 100% the best bang for your buck when it comes to this field watch. Keeps solid time, the build quality and materials used are fantastic, if you look for a higher end watch brand for something that is equal to what this watch has, you will be spending WELL over $1K+. I own a Hamilton Khaki field watch (manual wind), which I do love, but I wanted something that was mechanical/automatic, durable, keeps decent time, and has great water resistance (versus the Hamilton's measly "50M" water resistance and doesn't even have a anti-reflective layer on the glass). This watch hits all 4 on the head. I own a great variety of watches, from Hamilton, Seiko, Citizen, to G-Shock's and a few retro mechanical watches, and now my first Timex. G-Shock has been my go to for a daily beater/work watch (currently in the military) and something I can wear in wet environments or even swim in as there was not many field watch options (minus the expensive ones) I would feel comfortable wearing in a lake, river or ocean, let alone wear in heavy rain or have on in the shower. Again, the titanium case, sapphire glass with an anti-reflective layer, movement that has hacking, lume, watch strap, all are worth every penny in this price point. I changed the strap right away as I have always been a fan of NATO straps so that is what I have on it now but the one that came with it was comfortable. I have heard and kept an eye on Timex but there really wasn't anything that stuck out to me so I never bought into the brand, but once this came out and finally got it in my hands, I am glad I kept tabs on them as this is everything I have been looking for in a field watch. Some review's I have read say the rotor is loud, which compared to higher end movements, yes it is but it doesn't bother me any. The other issues I read were about quality control and time keeping issues. I hope that those have been worked out as I have not had any of those issues and as far as time keeping goes, after 7-8 days go by I usually gain between roughly 10-20+ seconds, which, again at this price point is fine and totally manageable. I adjust my watch weekly anyway with the online atomic clock or with one of my multi band 6 G-shocks. I will drop an update 6ish months down the road or sooner if something catastrophic happens to where I would remove my recommendation for this time piece. All in all, if you're looking for a do it all solid field watch, just buy it, you are definitely getting more for what you're paying (I paid $220).

I was looking for a nice uncluttered field watch which was automatic, black dial, decent lume and a minimum of 40mm diameter. The Timex ticks all the boxes very well and looks and wears well as it does. If anything, it does gain time, which really isn't a huge issue and is easy to adjust. As others have said, the strap is ok, but was never going to stay on my one, which was changed out for a NATO version, which I think, looks much better. The lume will last long enough for what I need, with the hands performing better than the numerals. The big bonus for me, was that this watch sells for £300.00 on the Timex website, this one came in at £202.00, so it is well worth it at that money. I'm delighted with it.
