I'm a DJ so I got this because my new MacPro is USB-C and my old one is USB-3. I use it to swap computers with the same cable instead of having to swap 2 cables. I just leave the adapter in one computer if I need to swap it. So far I have no problems transfering data or music. I also use them to charge my phone and tablet and it those the job. But if you do use it for charging is going to work a bit slow to charge since this is not probably meant for charging and specially if you use you computer to do so.

These adapters are very snug, I have a difficult time pulling them out of the socket, or removing my flash drive from them. I have not tested data transfer speeds yet. What is puzzling me is that I ordered two of these 2-packs so that I would have enough adapters. What I received aretwo packages that were 3-packs. I received extra adapters I guess I shouldn't complain, but if I had known it was a 3-pack I would have only bought 1, saved some money and not had so many extra adapters laying around!

I use a docking station and I also have cable and an xbox that I use and the docking station is where I have to split the hdmi. My computer and the xbox do not have USB-C slots, so this solved that issue completely.

Yes, the USB 3.0 male plug does have blue. However, I have not been able to get this adapter to fast charge any device using my computer, fast charging USB plug, or fast charging car port. And I have used a USB-C cord provided with my phone and thunderbolt USB-C cable to see if it was the cord, neither changed the outcome.

These are great products . I purchased 3 of these to connect my USB-C cable to a USB 3.1 power source and have had no issues with them over the past 2 months i I have been using this.

Both of these came completely crushed, I needed these and now I’m returning a broken product because QC is garbage. Thanks.

The first adapter I used only worked for a short time. I misplaced the package for a bit and am now trying out the rest to see if they follow suit and crap out.

Ok product. Build quality is average with respect to what it’s charged for.

The item works okay, but the connection only works when the USB-C connection is inserted in one direction. Flip it up-side-down (USB-C should work either way it is plugged in), it won't work. Not sure whether my order is faulty, but the error seems consistent across both connectors in the same order. It would be helpful if the seller could clarify whether this is intended.

I bought these to allow me to connect my USB-C Dock in my home study to my work computer which only has a USB-Aconnector free, the only USB-C being used for power.Unfortunately it is only partly successful. When docked using the adaptor I can use all my peripherals on the docks but the computer does not recognise the screens. If I remove the power from the USB-C port and plug in the USB C connector, the screens work fine, so it looks like the convertor isn't supporting the video.So, probably OK for drives, USB hubs etc but not for video.As someone else noted, the USB cable only works one way up.

This product was cheap, and I only needed one although it is a pack of two, but the first one I plugged in didn't work no matter what I tried (others mentioned it only works one way up). The second one in the pack worked ok (either way up). As it was inexpensive, I can't be bothered returning both for a refund, but the price was for two, and only one worked, so a 50% defect rate is not great, hence 2 out of 5 star rating.

Good deal to receive two adapters for this price. Quality is good..one major drawback and it was my main reason of purchase is that it does not transmit video as it is claimed in Q and A section. I used it to convert my type c usb hub to type a and connect to laptop. Everything connected to hub worked except monitor.

I bought this little adapter to charge my iPad Air (2020 model) when travelling.It’s good quality, small and easy to use.Unfortunately it didn’t work for me. But I’m not sure that’s a product fault.The USB c charger is 20w. When I tried to use the adapter with other chargers they weren’t powerful enoughSo the adapter will work if you have the right power unit for your USB c device.
