Dakota - Fire Glass Blend for Indoor and Outdoor Fire Pits or Fireplaces | 10 Pounds | 1/2 Inch

I recently had to replace my old set of gas logs and decided to go with a ventless loft burner instead of another set of fake logs. I wanted to use more than one color of fire glass with the burner so I checked on Amazon and found Fire Pit Essentials. There were other vendors but none seemed to have any blended colors on offer, and many did not mention what temps or BTUs their glass was rated for. I ordered 2 bags of the 1/2 inch size of the Dakota blend and am delighted with the way it looks in my fireplace. 2 bags was actually too much for my 18-inch burner. Just be advised that some of the pieces are closer to a quarter than a half inch in size, but overall I still am happy enough with the glass to give it a 5-star rating.

This fire pit glass is beautiful! I bought the Barksdale color and it’s beautiful in our fire pit. I originally wanted reflective but this color didn’t list it as that. However, we were pleasantly surprised that it was reflective glass!! It looks great I. Our fire pit. Our pit is 16”x16” and 2” deep and it has a cover. We ordered two 10lb. bags and it was plenty. We even had a little bit left over. When we did the calculations for how much we might potentially need, it told us 27lbs, which would’ve been 3 bags, however, we got by with 2 bags just fine. We literally just got it today so I’m not sure how it will look at night, but I’m sure it will look amazing once it’s dark. I definitely, 150% recommend!!

Very happy with this Barkdale Fire Glass Blend. I replaced lava rocks with 2 bags of this, and it really dresses up the lanai fire table. I looked at a lot of reviews of different fire glass types and suppliers, and was pleased to find this. The color matches the colors of the pool and furniture and ties it all together. The glass was clean and shiny, but I did rinse it to make it even shinier. It wasn’t dusty or sharp like I saw from other companies’ reviews. In fact, I ordered another 10 lb bag. 2 bags were adequate, but I wanted it a little fuller. I received it as promised.

This is a nice product for me because I wanted a variety of colors. When I looked at my local patio store I would have had to buy four different packages at $50 a piece to create the same look. That said, I ordered the 1/2 inch and there were a ton of tiny pieces that I could not use. I was able to sift thru and get enough pieces that were the right size to fill up my LP fire pit. Tossed the rest in the trash as I really didn't need anymore. Overall, I am very happy with them and would recommend as long as you don't have a giant space to cover.

We are very pleased with this purchase. All pieces are usable. Not a lot of splinters or glass dust as one other reviewer said. Love the color combination. We placed it over lava rock we have in the fire pit, and it looks really pretty whether it is lit or not. I thought I would perhaps need two bags but decided to purchase one and then decide if we needed another. It is sufficient for the look we wanted to achieve.

The Irish Roast fire glass is incredibly beautiful! It is everything they said it was and more! Great colors...great ambiance at night... the only issue I had was that I inadvertently ordered 2 bags and do not have room to utilize the second one. I asked to send it back and they graciously sent a return label. I will enjoy the Fire glass all summer and recommend this company to everyone! Well done Yard Elements & Fire Pit Essentials! Based on the pictures on this website, I was expecting half-inch pieces with somewhat worn edges. This is just broken pieces of tempered glass. With grandkids around, I will be worried about them stepping on pieces that may have found their way out of the fire pit. We received 10 pds of the Dakota blend and then 20 pds of the Irish Roast. The 10 pds should also have been the Irish Roast. I didn't see anywhere with the package that you should wash it before using it though I do see in the comments someone suggesting that. Might want to note that on the bag.

We are very pleased with this firepit glass. It was shipped to us quickly and at a great value. It has beautiful color; just like pictured on the web. We ordered two 10# pound bags of Irish Roast and they filled a 21” x 21” x 1.5” deep pit perfectly with just a bit left over. We are going to order more of this reflective glass because we Just might have to get another fire pit.
