SR Suntour SR Suntour SP12 NCX Suspension Seatpost with Protective Cover (31.6)

First I put one of these on my e-bike, and it made a big difference in the ride. The bike has front shocks, but I was getting hammered through my butt and my old back didn't like it at all. After some research on seat post shocks, This one seemed like a good compromise between performance and cost. It exceeded my expectations for performance, and within a week, I decided to replace the old seat shocks on both my wife's and my hybrid bikes. In both cases, the improvement was dramatic. I highly recommend these seat shocks.

I have a few bikes. Hard tail racer, full suspension MTB and an E-Bike. I have lower back issues and recently after riding my E-Bike I felt more pain than I usually would. So, I pulled the pin and fitting this suspension seat post to the E-Bike. I've done a few 50 km days riding to work and back and this seat post is a game changer. I have no pain while riding and none post riding. I'm a heavy guy, 115 kg and the stock spring has enough to keep me at 30% sag. It hasn't bottomed out once. I do know you can buy a heavier spring for this seat post and for my weight I was supposed to according to the booklet. However, that must be for extreme use. I'm commuting on paved cycle tracks.

I have had this for a year now and can definitely give it a full 5 star review. Fits perfectly, easy to install and super comfy for my tushi on bumpy trails. I have ridden over 3100 klms of paved and gravel trails and it has performed perfectly. Excellent investment for your bike.

The cycle path I use in Melbourne is far from smooth and I was getting lower back pain. The shim I ordered to fit the 27.2 post to the 30.0 mm tube was the wrong size, but I was not required to pay for it and I re-ordered. So I had to wait a while to fit it. An amazingly smooth ride now. Even big bumps and dips, I don't feel. The bike does, but I don't. Never written a review before, but I felt compelled to give credit where it's due. This product does what it claims to do and is easy to fit (when you get the correct shim ,if you need one).

I added this to my folding bike, and it completely changed my riding experience. Some of the worst trails in the area now feel smooth. I did require a telescopic seat post to get it to work on this specific bike, since the smaller frame design uses a much longer seat post, but it should fit regular sized bikes without needing this extra part. The installation was dead simple, and I like that you can adjust the stiffness (although, not as easy as some other suspension posts). The dust cover is handy and keeps the suspension post low-key. I have a Brooks C17 Carved saddle mounted to it without any trouble. The initial ride feeling of the suspension is a little strange as it feels as if your handlebar stem is wobbling, but you get used to it after a few rides. I can't honestly think of another upgrade to make a bike as comfortable as this.
