If i have an horizontal power switch does this work?

Hi there, thank you for the question. It does not work on horizontal Outlets at this time. Vertical Outlets only. Charlie

The way the question is worded, it appears you have two or more of the wi-fi units and are wondering if each one needs the holder stand bracket. The short answer is yes, but it depends. I have three but only two needed to be on the wall socket so I bought two. I did find the holder stand to be convenient and safer for the unit itself.

Hi, i've got a uk plug (3 straight prongs), can this mount be used for that plug for the google wifi?

Hi there, you will need an adapter. I cant say 100% that it will meet your expectations just because we did not test with adapters but we have had a buyer use a basic adapter with good results. it will stick out another 25mm but that may still be ok with you. https://www.amazon.com/OREI-Hong-Kong-Adapter-Plug/dp/B008Y8PSSE/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1513608172&sr=8-3&keywords=us%2Bto%2Buk%2Bplug%2Badapters&th=1

Is it considered a wifi range extender or does it need to be wired to the modem to provide internet?

No, it is part of a mesh system. One of the units needs to be plugged into the modem/router for internet access. The other units can be placed around your house/apartment to provide better signal everywhere.
