Pet Safe And Zero Evidence Of Slugs And Snails 4 Weeks In! Brilliant.
Not a nibble in sight! Pet friendly, yes my cats have eaten the odd few, with no ill effects. Despite some reviewers saying they dissolve in the rain, they do not dissolve in water. I water my plants every night and the pellets remain. I've just done a top up after 4 weeks. Last year, my poor daliahs and petunias specifically had nothing left of them thanks to the slugs and snails. Because I have cats, I wouldn't put anything down. This year I researched pellets and found these pet safe ones. I can honestly say, I haven't even found trails, let alone any signs of nibbles. So they definitely work and my cats are not at risk. My pets are obviously priority over my plants, I'm so glad I found these. My petunias and dahlias died last year due to those slimy monsters. Good value as ypu don't need a lot and I've only just topped up after 4 weeks of daily watering. There was still no evidence of slugs/snails, but there were minimal pellets left, so they've obviously eaten the pellets. Not sure where they go, because I'm confused by no trails?

Mice ate through the box and all the contents
I think it's fairly effective against the problem if repeatedly used. However, when I retrieved this from my storage closet after the winter I noticed a hole in it and all of it gone. That would be mice. So I won't be buying this in a cardboard box going forward.

Works very well
Definitely does the trick. My plants have been saved. Highly recommended

Packaging lets them down
These slug pellets seem to do a good job but the flimsy cardboard box lets them down as I have had trouble with the box seams leaking and great difficulty getting the sliding opener to work, requiring a blunt blade to be inserted and break the glue to allow the slide to operate.

Does this product work? Yes it does. Just apply a bit more liberally than you would 'blue' pellets.
Organic Slug and Snail Killer that actually works. It's not a repellent. It's effective and uses Iron Phosphate, which is a stomach poison for slugs and snails, but not beetles, earthworms or birds. Whereas Metaldehyde (blue slug pellets) also kills by disrupting the digestion of slugs and snails, it's described as 'moderately' toxic to birds and mammals. Iron Phosphate is much less toxic. These are more rain resistant too, swelling up if they get wet, and making them more attractive to slugs and snails. Any uneaten product degrades into iron and phosphate which will add nutrient to the soil. These are safe for use on and around edible vegetables and plants. I have had plants eaten down to nothing, thanks to slugs and snails, but I don't like to use the 'blue' pellets in case hedgehogs or garden birds eat the corpses, and I'm absolutely not going to go out at night with a torch and a bucket to pick them off my hostas. I did use Sluggit liquid a lot on my most vulnerable plants, but apparently that's impossible to get hold of these days - so I was looking for an alternative, less toxic means of control. This works well, but it has to be used fairly heavily, more heavily than a scattering of blue pellets, but this 1kg pack will still treat just under 200 square meters, which is roughly twice the application rate of the blue pellets. But given that the blue pellets have to be reapplied frequently during wet weather, and these don't, it probably works out about the same. Does this product work? Yes.

Excellent Product
I bought this product in Winter and I just used it around my garden before string starts. Very good product I must say. I have bought another packet. I haven't seen sluggs or snails in my garden ever since I started using this stuff. I tried other products before, garlic, eggshells, and other products, anything to deter them, some tips from well versed gardeners, no luck, and it was not working. All my plants and seedling were eaten up. Everywhere I look in the early mornings or evenings were just slugs causing so much damage. It was awful. But this string my plants, vegetables are very healthy. Highly recommended.

Noticeable reduction of snail population
For some reason, my city garden seems to be the breeding centre for the local snail population. I have lost so many young plants to these marauding molluscs, and find them crawling all over the place - even through windows. I’ve never tried any form of control other than direct snailicide using my foot, and I wish I’d tried this product sooner. It’s about 2 weeks since I applied it and I see significantly fewer snails around, and almost no damage to my plants. There have been a few dead snails around, but I’d rather that than dead plants. It loses one star because the shaker can be a bit tricky and only dispenses a tiny sprinkling each time, but at least I can’t pour out too many at once and it closes well so no risk of accidental spillage.

The only way I can keep some plants alive!
Works brilliantly - I have quite a sluggy garden and they will absolutely strip the softer flowers and ground cover, given half a chance. A bit of this tucked around the base of all the susceptible plants, though, and suddenly they get a chance to actually establish themselves and grow. I also have cats, and they have no interest at all in these; they're meant to be animal/bird-friendly anyway, but it's even better that they just don't bother with them.

Acquisto consigliato.

Reading about it online, it comes across as a safe organic slug pellet but the actual bottle suggests otherwise...does not mention whether it is safe for birds and other wildlife who might eat the deceased or dying slugs, for example, which is a bit weird. Just cautions about using it around house pets... I m not feeling very good about using it.
