Abyssinian Banana Tree Seeds for Planting (5 Seeds) - Ensete ventricosum

Bulbs haven't came up

I got 6 Abyssinian seeds and soaked them for a week them put them in a snap lid container with wet/damp paper towel on bottom them laid a damp one on top of the seeds and put them in a window seal for roughly 3 weeks and they started, I put them in a soil mixture and added perilite to keep the soil airy for those young roots to navigate and today they have officially broken ground 😁

Mine were so dried out that they failed to even re-hydrate. Little rocks, hopelessly dead. I took one apart and found that even the insides had turned to dust. 0 out of five successful.

I took a chance didn’t think the seed would actually start growing. It only took about 2 1/2 weeks for the first one to pop up in about another week before another one and then so forth it’s only been about a month and they are growing pretty well and pretty decent sizes right now thank you so much.

one tree seed germinated and it is a lovely tree. The rest of the seeds have not shown in over a year.

Seeds have never sprouted spoke to seller once they said try something I tried that and they said wait another week tried again per their instructions tried contacting them again and now they won’t answer they call or txt

Edit- 2 different plant apps identify this plant as Indian shot canna. So far 4 of the 5 came up. I put in fridge overnight, then soaked in water for 8-10hrs. I used a seed grower with light. Took almost a month for anything to pop up. Anytime you use seeds it’s a gamble. I am very happy that 3 out of the 5 came up. I just transplanted the 3. Hoping the other 2 might come up too. If not I’m still happy.

This product is worthless. The shell cover is so hard it's impossible to crack/open. I did all the suggestions/instruction on the packaging....nothing worked. It doesn't deserve any stars from me.
