These Heat Resistant Gloves are a godsend, so much better than mittens, You get two in a packet, these are reversible, I have a large hand at uk size 10.5 and they stretch to this perfectly, then my daughter who has a small hand can still use the same gloves perfectly too, they dont suffer permanent stretching. The surprise is the material used, its hairy, you would think they would melt, but they dont. The lining is fitted well, and the cuff extends further up the forearm, well above the wrist, so getting hold of stove knobs, and logs presents no problems. All round a lovely product.

I’ve been using these for years. Always prefer the long ones to fully protect your hands and wrists from heat. They are perfect. Thick quality. Easy to put on and take off. Easy to handle hot items. They wash very well and can take a high temperature wash if they are really stained. I find I get about 2 to 3 years wear out of a pair. Highly recommended.

These are a real boost to your safety when handling very hot items. The knitted gloves are easy to get one and off and give you short term protection from really hot oven temperatures. Having individual fingers, instead of just a mitt is a real benefit as is their extra length cuffs, which save your wrists from touching the oven bars as well! But their biggest gain, is that they fit really well due to their knitted stretchiness and separate fingers, which also gives you some "feel" and a better tailored grip, when handling items. The quality of their knitted construction is excellent. But they can become soiled over time, however they are hand washable In cold water. But ensure they are absolutely dry, before re-using them! There is two important limitations though: They won't protect you from hot steam or hot fluids if directly exposed or spilled on them! But accepting their limitations is easy as they are just far more wearable, than other types of heat resistant gloves I've tried.

This is the second pair I have purchased. I primarily use them in the kitchen and have replaced my old style oven mitts for these. Having burned my arms many times in the past on the hot shelves, having the long arm protection is a godsend. For this second pair I decided to treat my husband as he’s always stealing mine to tend his BBQ. They are super thick. Super flame proof, and help my husband stay safe while spoiling us all with steak. As with any oven gloves, If you’re going to hold a hot pan for a while you will feel the heat after a bit, but for most cooking purposes they are great (work very well for getting heavy cast iron pans out of the hot oven). I love the colour as before I was forever looking for my old oven mitts. I sure don’t have that problem with these bright colourful orange gloves. Although if they are too bright for you, they were available in other colours at the time I ordered. I have recommended these to friends and couldn’t be without them. Great gloves for the money and would recommend buying these.

If you have ever been on the train from Nairobi to Mombasa, then you are going to love this dvd. We have done the journey many times but not by steam but on the overnight sleeper. However we have not been to Kenya for 40 years and will probably never go again. I could not believe my luck when I saw this dvd but nearly did not buy it due to the cost. If you have nostalgic feelings about this journey then I fully recommend you buy it, quite frankly it is fabulous. The last time we went we had a 4 year old and a 2 year old in the top bunk looking out the window. So very precious to see Nairobi station, Voi and Mombasa Station where our wonderful friends the Battleys would be there to meet us. The gloves are really thick and long like thick wooden winter gloves in both appearance and feel whilst wearing them. They also were a little large for me (I have small to medium sized hands) but it did the job. I used it to take the tray out of the oven which was 200C and I couldn’t feel anything. The grip on it is ok, it’s a lot better than using oven glove but still feels a bit heavy and bulky. Also when used with hot plates if you hold the plate too long you will start to feel the heat coming off it (and by that I mean more than 5 seconds) but if you are quick it won’t be an issue. Almost perfect however could be improved with regards to sizing (as it’s only one size you can’t get or larger or smaller) or thickness and bulkiness (as was heavy like a woollen glove)

These gloves are the best, I’m really not kidding when I say they are brilliant. Since I started making sourdough bread and had to put the Dutch oven pot in the oven at 250 degrees I found it so scary to lift the pot out of the oven but with these gloves it’s so easy and no chance of getting burned. I would recommend anyone buy these as they take away the thought of getting burned, no more scary moments.

Better than using traditional oven Mitt, easier to grip objects like trays and casserole dishes . Insulation is good but not as good as a traditional Mitt, starts to feel warm after a short time when holding a grill pan, for example, to turn food over. Gloves are well made and good quality, giving confidence that they are safe to use. Overall I prefer them to the usual oven mitts and would buy again.
