Great for my picky cats, one of which has a sensitive stomach.
Science Diet really is the gold standard for pet food, whatever your feelings are about "grain-free" vs. "grain inclusive." The results are pretty undeniable, as I've had many cats throughout my years, and have tried many different types of food for them. I would say, pricewise, it's on the moderate-high end, but it's worth it because it keeps my cats healthy, and one bag lasts us about 6 months. They both get the SD Healthy Cuisine wet food, as well as this dry food, and it keeps their coats healthy. One of my cats has digestive issues, and the SD food plus probiotics have been the only solution to give him relief. Even better than the fancy, high-end cat foods. They also seem to love the taste as they rush to their feeder as soon as it dispenses food. They love it even more than their wet food, which is so surprising to me. They're super picky, and they only like this or the really stinky Friskies.

Love love love
I appreciate the quality of Hills. My kitten loves meal time and I love the ingredients. I have it on auto subscribe so we don’t run out. Never have had any digestion problems. The smell isn’t bad either… which means kitty’s breath isn’t stinky either. Five stars.

Good, Great, Expensive
We adopted two sibling adult cats. They didn't tell us their history or why the shelter. This is the food they gave us in the adoption bags. Two cats, 2-lbs, lasted two weeks. We soon realized the cats are feral. They are always active, especially in the middle of the night. They immediately used the litterbox. But they were always eating. We ordered 2 bags (14 lbs.) of Hill's in two months. They didn't gain more body weight. Based on our experience, the feeding portions recommended by Hill's are very accurate. We didn't read it until later. Instead, we matched their portions to how much they ate in 24 hrs. So, two 8-lb cats consume 1-lb/week of Hill's Science Diet, at $5/lb. We decided to do better. We switched to a higher-protein brand in a much larger bag. This dropped the price to less than $3/lb. And just like dogs, we slowly switched their food. We know all dog foods are not the same for all dogs. The increased protein causes our cats to eat less or maybe slower. Today, they are the same weight, but leaner with shinier coats. After four months with love, patience, and a very good water bottle sprayer, we're enjoying more house-training. The shelter got the food right with Hill's. But we wanted more affordable cat food, that's just as good or better. We found it! Price is why this cat food is 4-stars.

My Cats Can’t Get Enough – A Must-Have for Indoor Cats!
I’ve tried countless cat foods, and this Hill’s Science Diet Indoor formula has been a game-changer for my indoor kitties. Not only do they love the taste, but I’ve noticed a huge improvement in their digestion and overall energy. The “easy litter box cleanup” claim is real—less odor, less mess, and my house smells fresher. The kibble size is perfect for their little mouths, and it’s reassuring to know the ingredients are high quality, focusing on real chicken and essential nutrients. My cats are healthier, happier, and more active since switching. If you’re an indoor cat parent looking for a reliable, vet-recommended food that actually works, this is the one. Highly recommend and will definitely repurchase

Great for the obese, compulsive cat
I purchase this food specifically for an obese cat who lacks self control. With obese humans it's always assumed they lack self control so it probably seems odd I'd say that about a cat and some may also believe it's cruel as he's a helpless animal. I say he lacks self control because I've watched his eating behavior. I've noticed most weight loss formulas are high in fiber which works off the human principle fiber is slow to empty the stomach thus the person will feel full longer thus eating less. I've also noticed the kibble is small. My cat when presented with small kibble will stand at his bowl eating until he vomits. The large kibble forces him to actually chew all of his food which allows his brain time to notify his stomach he is full. Both of these also work off a human weight loss principle as obese humans are encouraged to chew each bite of food numerous times usually around 25 which allows the human brain the 20 minutes it needs to understand they're full. This formula isn't specifically advertised for weight loss, however that's what I'm trying to do. I can't state he's lost weight, however instead of gorging himself until he vomits he spends time chewing thus having him eat slow only take several bites like a cat would normally do. Although I do not know if he has actually lost weight I can state his behavior has changed so I'm hoping it's translated to weight loss because he's a beautiful spirit who doesn't deserve the issues that come with obesity such as joint pain due to stress on the joints, heart disease which may create pain due to the heart trying to pump blood through vessels that are all blocked, etc. As for being an exclusively indoor cat he's also at risk for increased hair balls. I do not see any issues with hairballs. Overall a very good cat food he appears to enjoy. When I open the shipping box he immediately knows it's for him. He tries to patiently wait for me to open the bag, however at times he becomes impatient and let's me know. He's taken the shipping box which is very large and has created himself a bed by arranging the paper it came packaged with and stores his favorite toys in it. Even his coat is shiny and soft as previously it was greasy and coarse. Overall I highly recommend this product.

Excellent Indoor Cat Food That Supports Health and Energy
I’ve been very happy with Hill’s Science Diet Adult Indoor Chicken Recipe Dry Cat Food. My cat enjoys the taste and eats it consistently without hesitation, which is always a good sign. The kibble size is just right, and it’s easy for her to chew. Since switching to this food, I’ve noticed improvements in her digestion and overall energy. It also seems to help with hairballs and keeps her coat looking healthy and shiny. I like that it’s designed specifically for indoor cats and focuses on balanced nutrition. The large bag size is convenient and lasts a good amount of time, making it a practical choice as well. Overall, this is a high quality cat food that I would definitely recommend.

Great Value
My 6 year old cat has been on a hills diet for a few years and we have had no issues or inconsistencies with the product. I find it can be much more expensive in my local pet stores so tend to order off of amazon when a restock is needed and we have had great experiences with delivery and consistency in product.

I've been giving this to my indoor cat since day one and it works great. She doesn't get sick of it. She never has hairballs and she doesn't have any obvious health issues.
