The ladder arrived in two boxes, but one of them was missing the 4th blue step piece. I contacted the seller, and they responded right away—sending out the missing part the very next day. Their customer service was exceptional and friendly! We received the piece a couple of days later and were able to assemble everything without any issues. The ladder itself is very well-made and sturdy. We added 40 lbs of play sand for stability and chose to place the larger steps outside the pool. It’s definitely worth the price! We feel so much safer getting in and out of the pool now—the Intex ladder that came with our pool was tiny and honestly pretty scary to use. This is a huge improvement!

These pool steps work well for what we need, but feel unsteady and are difficult to set up. Why pool steps? Our dog jumps in the above the ground pool and swims, but cannot get out on her own. The steps provide a place for her to either rest or get out of the pool.

BEWARE AND PAY ATTENTION WRONG COLOR SENT. IT WAS TO BE BLUE AND GRAY STEPS. Not white. Still good steps but if a company can't get the color right in shipping they failed in my opinion. I put this in backwards so my dogs can get in the pool. Lifting my 91 pound doodle is a but awkward and I may put another set of steps on the inside and just build a gate. It wasn't hard to put together, when you separate the few plastic pieces take a knife and you can shave off any left over plastic as it's not that difficult and no you don't need to file the edges as they are not that sharp as the drama queen review states they was bleeding and the amount of time they took I could built 2 or 3 sets. Steps take 15 minutes or so and the ladder took me probably an hour because I modified/ cut the supports that attached to the steps as they seemed to long and I didn't want the top deck 6 to 8 inches above my pool rails and I dug the bottom of the pool outside to lay a few patio blocks for support. You'll need to cut the arm supports that comes off the rails or they will extend into your pool and I just used my chop saw. I zip tied a small brick to the bottom folding ladder as it kept trying to float away as I was attaching the steps to the ladder. It would be easier with one person in the pool but I did it myself.

These steps have made it much easier to exit the pool. With the original ladder I had a fear of falling unto concrete. I watched You Tube videos to learn assembly tricks. I highly recommend these steps for senior users.

I can't keep this in the water. It keeps floating up. Instructions were just awful and useless. My dad and I were able to figure out - he did one side and I did the other. Instructions were in English but didn't seem to make sense, like they were missing a step or explanation. Directions say to fill with sand to keep it in the water. What I don't understand is how do you get it out of the pool in the winter if it's full of sand. Perhaps that's why mine keeps floating - because I filled with water? My other ladder was filled with water and wasn't a problem. Then as i lifted it out of the water, it would drain and I could lift over the wall. I can't understand how you'd lift this. I love the steps concept. Exactly why I picked this style. Very sturdy. I imagine works best with a deck (which it seems compatible to do). Right now I don't have a deck so need the last side. But once I have the deck, i won't need to buy another ladder. My only complaint is that the steps are open in the back so difficult to clean the pool there. Where my ladder is positioned makes our hard to move aside. I believe this is more of an issue of my placement. But if this wad attached to a deck, you can't move aside at all so cleaning would be impossible. I believe other styles like this are solid in back - to avoid an algae problem and help with weight.
