Great anti-fly fans
These work great. They can be easily flexed to your ideal angle and are soft enough that you won’t feel it if you accidentally touch them while spinning. I would recommend them and will buy these same fans if I need more.

Remember the NoFly Pro you got for $16.04 back in the day?
The media could not be loaded. These are infinitely better.ProsThey’re more effective with a slightly higher blade height, allowing for taller drinks as opposed to others. For example; I no longer have to prop the apparatus up on coasters to fit a full size drink underneath. They’re more stable. The base of these are octagon shaped and thick while the stems are flexible, making them “bottom-heavy” as opposed to top-heavy like the others. These won’t tip over. I had broken two of the others from inadvertently knocking them off the side-table while cleaning. These are better value. My cost at time of purchase was $25.49 or $8.50 ea. literally half the cost of the others—and I don’t have to worry about breaking them. The thing that sealed the deal for me was the rechargeable aspect. no more swapping rechargeable batteries, which was a real pain. Also worth mentioning; the power-button on these is located at the very top of the octagon—very conveniently located. The others required you pick the unit up, flip the swith, then put the unit down again—carefully.Anyway, I’m confident you’ll like these, I sure do!

Very helpful
These "fans" do scare flies but they won't fly away completely. They really do help keep the flies off your food. I saw them a lot in Mexico and ordered these as soon as I got back. These hold a good charge and are easy to use.

okay battery life - very effective
does a great job at keeping flies away and looks good - just short battery life between charges - I had to recharge and rotate fans during 3 hour pool party

This thing REALLY works (and there is no shortage of flies in the tropics)
We eat outdoors al fresco almost every night. I have to say that this thing's effectiveness pleasantly surprised us (and we live in the tropics where there is no shortage of flies). The reflective tape is very effective to throw off the compound eyes of a fly. The only suggestion for the manufacturer would be to put the reflection on both sides of the tape, not just on one side. There is a hook loop on the base so if you wanted to hang it upside down from something you could, but then, again, it would be better to have the reflection on both sides of the tape to increase its effectiveness. And the fact that it's rechargeable via USB is a plus. We totally recommend this item.

Useful
I saw these at a potluck I went to, and thought it was so useful. I bought some for myself, and have used it twice, with much success. It serves the purpose of deterring flying insects, but is still safe enough for curious toddlers to be around. Great product!

More suited to a small space
We have a covered outdoor area 13' in diameter with open sides. The flies congregate underneath and I was hoping these would do the trick. I tried placing them on the side tables which didn't really do much so then I hung them from the underside framework. They seem to work fine in a small radius, but in a large unenclosed space they just aren't able to keep the flies at bay. I'd guesstimate they disturb the air about 18" - 20" from the centerpoint of the fan and in that area the flies do stay away. They look great, are super easy to use and very quiet. If you happen to interrupt the spinning fan blades they stop instantly. I imagine these would be very safe around kids and pets.Another really great feature is they are rechargeable. Each one comes with its own charging cable, so provided you have enough USB ports on hand you can charge them all at the same time. They'd be perfect set out on a buffet table or next to diners during a meal. But for overall repelling of flies in a larger space they aren't the solution.
