Works great every time!
I’ve purchased this product twice now and both times have had great results. It’s super easy to do at home reasonably priced and I get the results that I want right before I use the toner I think do I really need this? It’s not that brassy and then I do it and after I dry my hair I can’t believe the difference that it makes that be said it’s very subtle. I don’t feel like it’s darkening my hair really at all, but it tones down those brassy lights when you’re in between salon appointments. My natural hair color is light to medium brown however, I usually get a full foil of highlights every 6 to 8 weeks which can become very brassy. I’ve used the winter wheat color both times and I am very happy with it.Highly recommend.

Great color, but the smell lingers
In terms of color, this is subtle gloss is just what I wanted. Some of my hair is really white, especially around my face, and all around my head it has a lot of gray. Having bleached it overall to a medium-light blonde shade, I wanted something to neutralize any reddish or brassy tones, and to give my white hair some blonde tones. It did this very nicely with a 15-minute application -- even though the package says it doesn't cover gray. It also makes my hair incredibly shiny. And it is easy to use and inexpensive. The only drawback is the smell. I thought the smell would wash out, but it really doesn't. I am now about 5 hours past shampoo (2x), conditioner, and blow dry. My hair still smells, so I feel self-conscious getting close to other people. I definitely wouldn't recommend using this gloss before going on a date! I hope I won't have to shampoo repeatedly to get rid of the smell, as I'm guessing that would hasten the color loss. Finally, one tip. My hair is short and thin, so I only used half the quantity for a full application. The company says not to store it once you've mixed the color with the developer, so I'll have to throw out the unused portion. In future I'll use a separate bottle to store half of the developer so that I can get two uses out of one box.

Good for short time
This looked good for a few days, but washed out quickly. I was back to brassy blonde

Not dramatic, but exactly what I needed.
I used it on my rooted blond that had gone brassy. It helped to blend the root and tone down the yellow in the highlighted part. Made my hair soft and helped the shine. I will use it again when I can’t get to the salon to fix my dark roots and straw highlights.

Didn’t gloss like I thought
It did change some of the color but I wouldn’t say the gloss did much. This was done on virgin hair no hair dyes. Was hoping it would help. We ended up having to add hair oil to her hair but here is the color difference
