Worked great. Had an older remodeled. Basement apt. Tenant before me and above me were smokers and it was horrible anytime air kicked on. Got a air purifier that work some what as well as high end air filters for unit. 1 can of this and that old smoke filled air was gone and replaced with a fresh clean scent. Last over weeks. Starting my 2nd treatment to hopefully but a nail in old smell ever coming back

We've had a musty odor in the vents in two of our rooms for quite some time. Before we went the $1,000 professional cleaning route, we decided to try these and sanitize ourselves. We treated the vents this afternoon and I'm pleased to say the smell is finally gone! Considering the cost difference, I'd say we more than got value for our money. The smell of the product isn't overwhelming, either. We've used some vent fresheners over the years that were so strong they made us ill. This was a pleasant but not overpowering smell. It was a little tricky to get the sprayer to work, and the adhesive on the self-sticking tabs could have been better, but we made it work. Will definitely use them again and recommend giving it a try before you spend a lot of money on the pros.

Update: 9/28/23 Below will be the original review. I wanted to give an update. The manufacturer reached out to me which was great and amazing customer service, they offered an apology and also offered a refund and in stead I asked for them to send me a new one. Which they did, and I was excited to see if there was going to be a difference in what was my complaint and issue with it and there was. The trigger was fixed and there was no leak when I sprayed it. Now, my new issue is the scent was weaker than the first one I had purchased. It sprayed better, but this new can felt lighter then the original. The first can that I recieved which had issues had a stronger scent that really filled the room and also filled the AC vents. The new one barley did the same. I'm still not giving up on this company, they have an amazing product, they just need to really focus on fixing the consistency of it. _----_--------------------------------------------------- Original review: I see many people complaining about the price, and I will never understand why anyone complains about price after paying the price! This product works, but there are issues. I bought a house that is a hundred years old, although renovated, it still has that old house smell. I became tired of using plug in fresheners and decided to give this a try. First, read the instructions carefully. When using in the HVAC system, you must have the fan on and not the heat or AC on. I used a little in the HVAC system and the scent spread through the entire system. Although the scent didn't last long, it did make the air coming from the HVAC system seem fresher and cleaner. I then used it in the rooms that had the strongest scent of old house, I sprayed the corners of the walls, I sprayed the center of the room including the light fixtures. Now, the second I started spraying it, it was dripping liquid. And when you turn it to the side to spray it at an angle, the air escapes more than the liquid. So this can is best to be used upright. Now, I only got to use half of the can and all of the air was used and there was a lot of liquid left in the can and it just stopped spraying. I believe in this product because it really did work, a week later and the smell of old house was much lighter, makes me think what would have happened if I was able to use the entire can. So with that said, the sprayer is the issue completely, there is no durability in the scent as it dissipated in less than an hour, but for some reason I don't think it's meant to last long. This product does indeed work, they just need to fix the flaw that the can and sprayer has. I would give them a chance when they have a new and improved sprayer.

This Air Freshener for HVAC Systems definitely has a very stout, powerful smell right out of the box. The thyme extract gives it a natural, herbal scent that quickly fills the space, which may be too strong for some people at first. While the initial fragrance is noticeable, it didn’t last nearly as long as I expected. After a short time, the scent faded significantly, especially when used in an HVAC system. It works fine for a quick refresh but doesn’t provide long-lasting freshness. Overall, it’s an okay product if you want an immediate, natural-smelling burst of fragrance, but it may not be the best choice if you’re looking for something that lasts.

The product work well as first. The smell came back but the seller stood by the product and customer service was great. Used a second canister and that seemed to do the trick. Used in my office. I like the smell, some employees were sensitive to it. But the flower smell was a big improvement to the previous odor.

If you’ve ever thought, “You know what my house needs? A nauseatingly strong perfume scent that makes me question my life choices,” then boy, do I have the product for you! I bought Ductaid thinking it would freshen up my HVAC system and make my house smell nice. Instead, it launched an olfactory assault so potent that even my dog refused to come inside. Imagine someone broke into your house and sprayed every bad perfume from a discount rack—then cranked up the heat to bake the scent into every fiber of your being. That’s Ductaid in a nutshell. The smell is like a mix between a floral candle factory explosion and cheap cologne from a gas station. It doesn’t fade, oh no, it intensifies—as if it feeds off your despair. My house now smells like it’s constantly hosting a middle school dance mixed with martial arts exposition. Nice - right? To make matters worse, this wasn’t just a scent problem. Whatever Ductaid did to my ducts actually made my HVAC system less efficient. Now my vents are a superhighway of misery, spreading the stench room by room. Save yourself, your family, your pets, your nose, and possibly your neighbors nose. Ductaid isn’t a product—it’s a cruel prank disguised as home improvement. I would give it zero stars if I could, but here we are. I guess I’ll just go live outside now. Final verdict: 1 star for sheer audacity to make a product so awful!

This product worked great for me. No more foul smells. Used the whole can in our air handler.

Left a nice clean scent. Hopefully it helped.

Smell was potent, but since we expected it to be a relatively long lasting solution we were willing to tolerate the strong scent. Didn't last a week in our 15,000 BTU Heat Pump. Musty smell that it said it would remedy is back only four days after application. Awful lot of money for such temporary results. Will be returning the balance of the can for a full refund.

Too strong smell does not eliminate odors

This thing is loaded wit an unbearable fragrance that triggered an allergic reaction in all family members. It is not the thyme extract, it is another type of smell that has nothing in common with thyme.

Followed the instructions step by step. It did help for some hours but after that the smell came back.
