The AVR Microcontroller and Embedded Systems Using Assembly and C: Using Arduino Uno and Atmel Studio

I have found this to be useful and well written. I have not found any serious grammatical errors in the text or discrepencies with page numbering as a few others mentioned ( I have the Kindle edition ). There are many code examples and figures, and at times it seems like almost too much detail. My copy does not have an active table of contents but it is still fairly convenient to navigate. I would definitely consider buying other books by the same authors, in fact I am looking at their text on Atmel/ARM programming.

Awesome book at a reasonable price

Francamente todas las obras de Ali Mazidi son casi iguales en su estructura, lo único que cambia es el microcontrolador, sin embargo, a pesar de ello no dejan de ser bibliografías muy interesantes y sustanciosas en lo que a sistemas embebidos se refiere, en este caso basados en AVR. NOTA: Aunque tenga un Arduino Uno en la tapa, nada tiene que ver con el tema Arduino, todo está en ensamblador y C.

fit the needs of our university

This is a good book for learning to program an AVR microcontroller. That said, it would have been better if the authors had bothered to proofread the text, and sometimes the programming examples. I have found numerous errors. Fortunately, I am able to catch them and make the corrections, but some people may not be as fortunate.

I am taking a course on microprocessors/microcontrollers and we are using this book. I think the content is great. I have never done anything in assembly but this makes it all make sense, if you have the aptitude for this sort of stuff. Definitely a good buy!

There's plenty good here, but plenty outdated. It's pretty obviously self-published since the page numbers aren't even close to right. I'd guess it's the old 8051 book with AVR stuff chopped in. It doesn't have an index at all (not that it'd be that useful without proper page numbers). I've learned plenty from it, but the errors I'm aware of make me always uncertain of the other information in the text and I find myself distrustful without myself checking a datasheet or other authoritative source.

I was surprised how big this book is. Big format, thic and heavy. Lot of useful content.

Le he echado un vistazo por encima. Se adentra de una forma clara y relativamente profunda en lo temas que trata. Se entiende perfectamente y a partir de aquí se puede ahondar por uno mismo en los temas tratados. Se entiende perfectamente. Es una lástima que no esté traducido al castellano porque podría ser un libro de texto oficial de algún curso de tercero de fpII de electronica, automática informática etc. En definitiva así de entrada me gusta mucho.

Producto correcto entregado en tiempo y forma

Fantastic book, really explains the hardware by coding in assembly. Later examples in the book give both ASM and C examples so the difference can be understood. The author is very experienced, this comes across in his writing, he conveys a lot of information that is informative and helps to understand MCU’s and coding. Recommended.
