Epoxy Putty Wood Brown

Was going to chuck my favourite water feature out when I broke the rim, but I thought I'd have a go with this first. It dried to the same colour as the feature, is rock solid, and was simple as anything to apply and shape. Now it works as well as it used to, and I am very happy to have saved my Grecian urn.

Took a bit of time to mix the 2 parts together, I did it in smaller batches for ease. Used it to fill a hole in my wooden raised beds and worked perfectly. Would buy again.

Did the job well, but quite hard to use. Had to throw after using just once as it was blocked after drying. If you know how to do it, it's a good product.

Works well. Easy to use. A shame that no other, darker colours are available.

Works ok & is easy to use, but it's not very brown. More like grey. Should take a stain though.

On time delivery. The wooden boards in the yard have been used for a long time and some parts are damaged. I hope to repair the damaged area and make it waterproof when purchasing this product. I'll clean up the damaged surface and fill it in. Before curing, try to make the surface as flat as possible so that I don't need to polish it. The effect after curing is very good and very sturdy.

Exactly as advertised. Mixes quite easily and applies to metal surface well provided the deface is abrased well beforehand. Good value product

I am repairing windows - with cracked bricks and damaged wood in some stools and aprons. For jobs like this an epoxy putty filler can be a real help as if you prepare properly, it fills the gaps and, crucially, doesn't shrink. I have compared this VIKEYTIM Epoxy Putty, to my usual experience with Milliput or EvoStick brands. Using this VIKEYTIM brand, I found that the most important part in getting a good result is preparation - and that means a wire brush to get rid of flaky brick cement or any soft wood. It mixes easily and then gets warm (that is the exothermic reaction that will "cure" the material). Some reviewers have complained that it sticks to their fingers - but I wet my fingers before using and this makes it a LOT easier. Also, after packing the gap, I use wet fingers to blend the edges into the surrounds. This leaves a good smooth finish and mostly avoids having to sand it smooth afterwards. I hadn't heard of VIKEYTIM brand before, but this worked well for me and it set to a sort of mushroom colour. After about an hour it was too hard to press a nail in, but I waited a day before a final bit of sanding it smooth. Epoxy putty is a very useful thing to have in the tool box for emergencies. This brand seems to be a mid-hardness type. For specialist jobs such as plumbing there are different mixes - check out Amazon. This kit worked well for me. My only gripe - this works out to be twice the cost per gramme of the "leading brand" Milliput 113.4g Kit, but on Amazon, prices change fast, so suggest you check for yourself. I liked this and would get it again.
