Powerful steam
This iron eased the ironing task a lot it is enough to go 1 or 2 times to straighten up the fabrics

Good iron but reduced quality reduces it from brilliant…
Good irons but there is a reduction in quality - the lead is 20 inches shorter and the ironing plate is slightly thinner - have been buying these for years ( 4th one bought ) and reduction in cord length ( and a bit thinner ) is not good. Shame, makes a brilliant iron a good iron……

GREAT IRON BUT CORD FAR TO SHORT.
I have used Philips irons for years now, mainly because with the first Azur I bought you got a put away stand with it, that you stood the iron on and wrapped the cord around the iron and stand. This means that you can put the iron away straight after ironing. So far all the Philips azur irons I have had fit onto this stand, this iron is up to the Philips quality, apart from the cord is way to short, if the cord was longer it would be worth 5 stars.

Easy to use steam iron and glides smooth.
This steam iron is easy to use and just glides without leaving marks like the last steam iron. Love this iron.

Excellent Iron, Inferior plug and cable.
I am a seamstress and do this full-time as my job, and so it's really important what iron I get, because it's got to be robust, it's got to have a good steam function, comfortable to hold, and be able to get into tight corners and have a good weight, too light an iron and it's not actually that easy to make it work well when making curtains and so forth. Too heavy and it's pure toil. I use my iron every day, and on and off ALL day, so it also has to last as long as possible. Interestingly this has lasted quite well, almost a year now. So worth the money. However, there are two problems, with this latest iteration,.... the plug itself is just so badly designed, it's hard to get a grip of it, and therefore hard to pull out of the extension lead/socket. It's really shallow and hasn't got the right profile to get a good grip. Super annoying on a daily basis! Secondly the lead has developed permanent kinks in it, this despite me diligently trying to re-straighten it. It's likely that it will be the lead that will fail before the iron as I think the wear on it will cause the cloth covering to fail, already signs of it. So very good iron, let down by inferior lead and plug. I've bought a sequence of Philips Azur irons over the years, and NO OTHER make has ever lasted or been as effective at doing the job as this one. But the lead and the plug quality and source of these components need to be sorted out - I see this plug is made in China. Inferior plug and lead lets this iron down. Please could this be sorted!
