It does not have a slit, and it runs small. I normally wear a size 6 but had to get a large. I absolutely love the dress and wore to my son's wedding.

Absolutely. It is fashionable and modest. Appropriate for funerals.

What type of bra do you wear? Stapless? And can you get by wearing petals and no bra? Does fabric allow for that??

I wore a strapless since one shoulder is more exposed. The fabric is soft and silky, so petals may work, but i'd be afraid they would show.
