Good working computer
This computer works great for working and studing, somelight gaming is allowed in it with its configurations, however do not expect much performance with bigger AA games. It will be laggy or maitg not run at all. I tried running Warframe, and performs OK at low setting, with some stutter here and there. Also tried running grounded, also performs ok at lower settings. The games that run good are the pixel ones, like Stardew Valley and the Menssager. Those do great. This is for people that like to play some games like that, but mainly needed for work and study. It is super lightweight and charger is slim and light also. Sound is good (not great) and connectivity is good. If you want heavy games to perform well and still want to do productivity, I recommend the Asus TUF, you will have to carry a heavier computer, but it will run recent AA games at high graphics and still be able to do home work

Love it - a pleasure to use
This has been an absolutely great laptop for me. It's plenty fast enough for normal use, I find 14" to be great for portability, the screen is nice and bright, the trackpad works great, they keyboard has a sensible layout and feels nice, there's pretty good port selection, and the overall look-and-feel are great. The included sleeve is a nice bonus as well. I already have a gaming desktop, so my main usage for this is when travelling, and sometimes if I'm not in my office it's pretty convenient to have something to poke around and shop or whatever with. I've also had good success remote streaming games from my primary system with it. I think the main thing here is to keep speed expectations in check - if you're a heavy PC user and looking for a primary computer, you may find the specs limiting here. It's very responsive under normal load, but it won't handle gaming or anything heavily performance-bound. The 8 GB of RAM might at some point be a limiting factor, but today it's plenty for normal usage. As a secondary PC or a primary for someone who's not doing much beyond the basics, I think it's plenty fast enough. The laptop is affordable but to me doesn't feel "cheap". Sure it's plastic construction, but it's very well laid-out. I haven't had any quibbles over the physical layout or construction, and if I'm being honest the performance is a bit more than I was expecting. For what it's worth I had far more complaints about my work-issued Dell workstation that costs 10 times this much. At the end of the day I think the laptop is easy to recommend so long as it's the class of PC you're in the market for; no compromises except heavy workstation/gaming performance you can't do at this price anyway.

Great buy for the price
Iโve had this laptop since October 2023, and itโs been reliable with minimal issues. I use it as my primary device for school and work. Despite the RAM being soldered and limited to 8GB, it can easily run virtual machines for class labs without any problems. The keyboard is comfortable, and it even lights up when needed. I donโt usually use the touchpad; I prefer using a mouse. Itโs also quite lightweight and easy to carry. I donโt really use the camera as some courses require an external camera due to the angle. WiFi is solid never any issues there. The speakers arenโt the best, but if you want to bring your own high-quality DAC or wireless headphones, this laptop can handle it. The screen is a bit dim compared to my older MacBook Pro. Battery life is also acceptable; I usually plug it in via USB-C or the charger it came with. Overall, I would give this laptop a solid 4 out of 5, but I did experience some random shutdowns in the past. I checked the logs and found that the laptop was overheating at times. I quickly resolved the issue by wiping off the old cheap CPU paste and applying a higher-quality one. It was a simple fix.

Great work computer for a great price
I have had a Acer Chromebook since 2019 and have needed to upgrade for awhile. I recently got a new remote job that pretty much forced me to upgrade since the Chromebook had 2GB of RAM and almost no storage. This Acer has been great for the past month. I was looking for something with at least 8GB RAM and 256 or more memory. The speed of this computer has been wonderful. I can have multiple tabs going at once and have had no issues thus far. I have not loved Windows operating systems in the past, but this one isn't too bad. Once you get rid of Microsoft edge and use Google Chrome, it was back to business as usual for me. Perfect size for me, lightweight and easy to travel. The protective case it came with was a small, but nice bonus as well. Battery life hasn't been tested too specifically yet but I have easily worked for 3-4 hours off the charger and have had plenty of battery left. So I think it's going to be just fine in that regard. I've been told I can probably do some gaming with this computer but I haven't tried that yet, as I much rather use my PS5. All in all, this computer is plenty powerful for what I need. Zoom calls, research, multiple tabs open, Slack, ClickUp (productivity apps). Highly recommend at this price point.

Cheap Laptop, Worked Less Than 2 Years
I bought this computer for my husband for Christmas in 2023. He barely used it, 5 times at most. He tried to use it today and it would not turn on at all. It's not even holding a charge. Terrible product.

Acer Aspire 3 A314-23P-R3QA / AMD Ryzen 5 7520U
Best deal you can have dunno about the other versions but this one is quite fast and powerful for just 350 ( bought it at a sale ) the battery last a while its fast enough for any daily task it doesnt have that annoying touch screen and the graphic card is good enough for gaming and most stuff Well to be fair the only game i play in pc is Starcraft 2 but it does a good job when the map is full of units at medium-high specs and it doesnt get hot, so it should be good enough for other games at med specs The only thing i hate its the charger it has a tiny thin cable near the protection it feels like its gonna snap the second it gets pulled, but aside that the laptop its fine Had it for 3 or 4 months now, one day suddenly while playing sc2 the graphic card decided to disable out of the blue, really weird but i just enabled it again and havent happened again, aside that havent had any other problem ever since

Cheap and solid
This is for the A314-23P-R3QA with the Ryzen 7520U. I believe it was released in late 2023 or early 2024. This was an emergency laptop for my partner. So far, it's very good for the price. It doesn't feel like a high-end laptop, but it definitely doesn't feel cheap. You can grab it with one hand and it doesn't feel like it's gonna break in half. The touchpad and keyboard feel good, average, not cheap. It is very light. It is less ugly or tacky than most budget laptops, especially the lid. The battery is very usable. Overall, it feels like a 500- or 600-dollar computer. It feels good during casual use. It has enough power to browse the web and watch videos in a normal way without slowing down. It barely has enough 3D power for Magic The Gathering: Arena. Anything with shadows and modern lighting is gonna be a stretch. Streaming game services are great these days, and there are a lot of light modern games that this can run well. It's a ubiquitous laptop with good cooling. Many modern portables at this price point have inconsistent performance because of their disposable, glue-and-tape construction and software-based engineering solutions. This Acer, however, is designed more like a traditional laptop or a desktop. It seems like it's performance will last. A deal for around 300.

Good computer for the money but mine has keyboard issues
At first, I was really pleased with this computer. But now that Iโve been using it for several months, Iโve noticed a couple of potentially deal-breaking issues with the keyboard. Issue 1 is that the FN lock function doesnโt seem to work. If youโre unfamiliar with this feature, it enables the alternate โFโ functions on the row of media keys that span the top of the keyboard. This feature is designed specifically for laptop keyboards, which have a reduced number of keys on account of space limitations. As an example, the F4 key is a popular Windows shortcut that will repeat the last keyboard action that was implemented. Letโs say you copied a cell in an Excel file and pasted it into a different cell. Now letโs say that you want to paste that same value into random other cells in the workbook. Hitting the F4 key would repeat the paste action. Sure, you could achieve the same thing by using the Control + V key combo; but itโs much easier to use a single keystroke. This is an important distinction for tech workers and others who might be using the paste command hundreds or thousands of times a day. The Internet says that I may be able to resolve this issue by changing a setting in the BIOS. I havenโt tried this yet, and I suspect it will work. But Iโm still annoyed โ as I donโt feel itโs reasonable to expect the average computer users to implement changes to the BIOS or edit Registry settings. Manufacturers should solve for such issues prior to release of their products. If I bought a new car and the turn signals didnโt work, I wouldnโt expect the dealer to tell me that I needed to rewire the electrical system on my own. The bigger issue Iโm having is related to the sensitivity of the spacebar. Long story short: The spacebar lacks sensitivity at either end โ meaning that you must strike it very forcefully to insert a space. Conversely โ if you strike the spacebar in the middle โ it is too sensitive; meaning that it will insert often insert a double-space. I do a lot of writing, and this shortcoming means that I need to spend a significant amount of time editing just about everything I type. Itโs important to note that all of the other keyboard keys function normally. Unfortunately, I didnโt realize the severity of this problem early on. If I had โ I would have seriously considered returning the computer for a refund.

Nice computer works fine for me!
Arrived on time. Computer takes a few minutes to set up, but they all do. Works find & is fast. Only thing & this is my fault for not doing enough research, it has a 15" screen which for me is a little small. I would have no problem buying this brand again just I would look for a larger screen. Nice computer!
