I’m 5’11 and 225 with a 36 waist. What size should I get?

I"m 5'11", 145 lbs, 31" waist, 32" inseam and bought a med long. It's a little long but I like the extra length in the torso when I sit. I don't trip over the extra length if I have shoes one. I would have bought a small long if they offered one. The 36" waist may allow you to wear a medium but if you're going to wear layers underneath I'd opt for the next larger size.

I'm about the same size and got the 4xl .... Its a little big but gives you room for extra clothes underneath

Will it shrink when I have to wash it?

no, I would wash it in cold water or dry clean.
