I required a garden hose nozzle for the mixing of concrete in a mixer I had hired for putting in garden H section steel fence posts which would have timber beams inserted too function as a retaining wall. ( a lot of concrete required). Having had two plastic nozzle split due to the rough handling associated with this task I looked to purchase a replacement which would be more robust but not costing a lot of money as it is a one off project. ( normally used for washing car). I chose this item based on its description and low cost. Upon receipt, and as a retired engineer, I was sceptical as to the description ‘heavy duty’ as it appeared a lightweight alloy with a brass adjustable nozzle. However, after mixing concrete batches over several days, the nozzle proved not only to be exceptionally robust but also extremely efficient and effective in the variations of the nozzle spray. It delivered the high volume required for mix and a wide range of spread and pressure for hosing down/ cleaning up. In summary, excellent design, performance and quality at a very low cost.

Good value and seems quite robust

Works ok but has degraded after one winter left out on hose reel. Poor quality.

I like the robust feel of this product and find it great for watering larger areas and washing cars etc. The nozzle can be adjusted to create a spray or a stream of water. The water comes out under mains water pressure. This can be a problem when the trigger lock is in situ, which is ok for car washing and watering large plant areas but very difficult to control the pressure for watering plant pots etc. The trigger is not great for creating a finer stream or spray of water. I suspect it has been designed more for washing items such as cars. I don’t think it’s particularly good for water conservation either. One last observation was that, as it’s made of metal, it gets very cold as the water cools down and can be difficult to hold onto without gardening gloves etc. I like the robustness of this item but would like a nozzle that allows better control of the water pressure for watering plants in pots and more delicate items as well as ensuring less wasted water.

Well made, work well and good value

Pretty much the same as as the metal water hose nozzle i was replacing that is a few years old. However this had a slightly better fit on the hozelock adaptor and didn't require any spacers to push down the anti leak button in the hozelock adaptor
