I've never used a doppler before however, after seeing the midwife use it I thought I'd give it a go (without seeing the midwife, I wouldn't have known where to look or the difference between my heartbeat and baby's heartbeat). I've borrowed a doppler from a friend and got this gel to go with it. It works like a dream! Now whenever I'm worried (yes, I'm an over anxious first time mum to be), I can listen to his little heartbeat! Just amazing! And the gel was so cheap and will last ages! (I'm still using too much!)

This gel, unlike another one I tried, requires a thick layer for best transfer. It's messy and slow to work with since you need to keep adding more. Good for hairy areas though.
