Great first set and a bit of fun
Brought this on a whim. Really pleased with it. Ball is harder than expected but we've got some foam ones to use till they're older (currently 5&2). Also like in other reviews the ball is slightly mis- shaped. Not awful or un- useable. Bat is better than expected, solid but not to heavy. Stumps are ok but my youngest keeps trying to fold in half which leaves creases in them. The base is very light, we've not tried outside but I'd imagine they'd easily fall on a breeze or if not on totally flat surface. But I'm very pleased , we brought it for the boys to play with in the garden or take to the park for a bit of fun. We don't plan to use the stumps at the mo. So depends what your looking for.

My boy is a natural
I bought this product for my son as I'm really into cricket and thought we could spend some quality time in the garden playing cricket. First impressions where the set is well made and will last. I took my boy into the garden not really sure if he was any good at cricket. Turns out the kid is a natural. I tossed him a nice bouncer and the kid smashed it for 6 into the next door but ones garden.

Good For Youngsters! (But not in the wind)
Stumps won't be much use outside if windy, as they're very light! This being said, great fun had so far with my 4 & 6 year olds. Ball is quite heavy so we use a stress ball instead but have even put the stumps in the sand on the beach instead of the holder. Solid quality from GM!

Great starter set
A great starter set for fun in the park. The wickets are surprisingly durable and stand up well. The bat is decent plastic so it’s light enough for a 4 year old to control, but substantial enough to give a good whack. The ball is slightly soft, so it’s underarm throws only. It’s a very affordable set, easy to carry, and has lasted very well so far. I wish it came with a proper bag, but it all fits in a large carrier.

Howzat... could be better
So these stump set could be better. They do struggle to stay up by themselves which is my main issue with them. You could argue what am I expecting from a set of plastic cricket stumps, well them staying errect easily would be a good start. Fine for my daughters (aged 5-10) forced introduction into cricket though. Sturdy enough and coloured well enough to get them to play and they have not actually broken it - so that is a bonus.

Nice junior cricket starter set
The bat is excellent - good weight for under 5s with nice handle too. The ball is great too - but heavier and probably suited to older children while the stumps are for younger kids. No bails - and no bowlers stump in the set either but handy to have the stand for the stumps to slip into. Worth getting for the bat
