The blend function only blends for a few seconds and then stops is there a reason for this or is my soup maker faulty?

The Blend function provides a 10 second burst and then stops. It is designed to add a little texture to chunky soups without blending it too much. If you wish to have a longer blending time you could try using the Juice function which does not cook the ingredients but it will provide around 30 seconds of blending - any other questions please feel free to ask us at sales@justmeproducts.co.uk

What type of material is on the inside of the lid, please? is it plastic and if so, is it bpa free? thanks.

The lid is made from BPA free plastic with a glass top and is very easy to clean. The inside of the machine is made of high grade stainless steel called SUS304. This particular stainless steel is the most common form of stainless steel used around the world due to the excellent corrosion resistance and value. SUS304 stainless steel can withstand corrosion from most oxidizing acids. This durability makes it easy to clean and therefore ideal for kitchen and food appliances

How long does the soup stay hot after making

The machine is made with a double wall construction therefore it will keep the soup warm for well over an hour after providing the lid has not been removed, perhaps even longer. If you wish to reheat you could always apply the chunky function to warm the soup up .

Would you say this blends to a smooth consistency?

Absolutely! The machine cooks the ingredients first then blends to a silky smooth consistency. See the photos in our product description, all of the photos were of soup that was made in the Justme Soup maker.
