I have now owned 4 of these units and they have worked flawless for me in my applications. Reason for the 4th one was lightning destroyed the 3rd one which was no fault of the unit. A nearby strike welded the electronics together and blew the top plastic part out into the yard. Fortunately only 4 of 12 LED landscape lights were also destroyed. Caught the whole thing on video since I had a surveillance camera pointed at the part of house the unit was mounted on. One should be aware the device is well suited to LED landscape lights that don't exceed the 65 Watt rating in total. I probably would not use it on the older incandescent lights due to current draw of those. All settings are done by buttons on the face of device and are simple and intuitive to use and understand. I personally use photocell on at dusk and then on for 5 hours in summer and 7 hours in winter months. Yes I recommend these units.

Transformer stopped working after one year. I took a chance that someone at SMY Customer Support would respond. I explained what I did attempting to troubleshoot and determined the transformer, not the wiring or the lamps, had failed. After a bit of a stumble thanks to translation, I asked for and will receive a replacement unit soon. SMY went above and beyond to satisfy me.

Works as described. Easy to operate.

This transformer has many good on/off options including Auto (dusk to dawn). It will accommodate a system of lights and wiring that add up to a total of 100 Watts or less. It's lightweight, easy to hang, and the price was great. I had a question for customer service, and they replied within 24 hours with very helpful advice.

This product has been horrible! We're using 2 units for our landscape lighting and we've gone through 4 units in less than 1 year. The units work great for a short period of time and then random lights are more dim than others. If I cycle through the on/off, sensor modes all of the lights will be bright again. We have ours set on dawn until dusk so they will automatically come on. Having to go out every single night and cycle through to fix the brightness for all lights defeats the purpose of the automatic setting. 2 units also quit working entirely. The unit shows power but there is no power going to the lights. Complete waste of money. These unfortunately will be going in the garbage to a landfill and we will be trying a different brand.

Connected the wires turned it on lights lite up, simple.

Only lasted a year and 5 months.. Purchased June11th 2024 , it died November 4th 2025

I purchased two units and installed them in the front and back yard. They worked great for a few months, until the front yard lights started looking dim. The output voltage on one unit had dropped and the lights were not as bright. The defective unit was replaced by customer service within a week. I’m very satisfied with the power supplies and the customer service I received.

Works perfectly, fast delivery. Had to change plug ends to fit an existing lighting system. No problem

The transformer failed after less than a year. Pathway lights went dim and flickered then just failed to work. When the transformer was tested, the voltage output at the transformer was 12v but dropped to 5v once even when one light was connected rather than the expected 12v needed to operate the pathway lights.

Well packaged and seems like good quality.
