This one replaced one I had for over a year. I will say this one has proven itself many times over. It’s worked through a very hot souther summer and now we’ve had a record snow storm and after thawing it we right back to work. Fantastic little work horse.

UPDATE: I opted to replace the first one with a duplicate, and this one works perfectly! I'm glad I tried again! Took it out of the box and placed it in the water. Nothing at all, not one spurt...

This is a super solar fountain. My problem is that the spray is very high and strong, so the water evaporates within an hour. Great if you have a steady source of water flowing in. Again, very powerful; assortment of attachments helps, but my 20"-diameter, 2"-deep bird baths are rather small for the force. The straws are essential for balance, and READ THE INSTRUCTIONS for best valve configuration! Again, great for wide and deep birdbaths.

If you have an area that is even somewhat shady off and on by tree branch is blowing this probably isn’t the one for you. If it’s got 100% direct sunlight, it works great but any shade at all, it’s not working so great.

Quality product. Ithe birds love it and it helps to circulate the water in bird baths. It has lasted many seasons.

Stopped working within a week. The fountain part was only an inch tall. Not worth the money or effort.

This is the 2nd time I've ordered one of these. The 1st lasted 2 years and honestly, I think a hot summer when it was allowed to run dry more than once killed it, so that's on me. I really like the upgrade with the surface coated with glass instead of just the plastic panel, it looks nicer and I think it will probably last longer and be easier to clean. I don't use any of the fountain attachments because I prefer just the gurgle of the pump itself. The sprinkle fountains would be great in a small pond, but for a birdbath it is too prone to get windblown or fall outside the perimeter which can empty a birdbath pretty quickly. I'm a little amused at the multiple reviews that complain about the fact that these don't work at night or on a cloudy day... it's a SOLAR fountain, there's no battery backup, that's how it works. It's worth it to me to not have to run wiring or worry about energy consumption. It does in fact run some even on a cloudy day, and I've attached a video showing it working on a day that was quite overcast. It won't run continuously on those days but it does put out a bloop every so often. The still photo shows it on a sunny day and it really puts on a good show. These fountains seem to be well made and I look forward to more years of enjoying it in my garden.

I do not like to leave bad reviews. Buyer beware this is a solar light but only works when you have direct sun light on it. I wish I had known or paid attention. Yes, this is solar, and it does work WHEN there is LIGHT on it. Other wise it does nothing. There is no battery in this. It works only off sunlight! So if you have no sun or it is in the shade like our fountain, then this will not work. We also noticed after a year, this thing is falling apart. It's not very well built and I will look for one that will run with a battery when no sunlight. If you have a fountain FULL of sun then your golden, no sun then you purchased the wrong item!
