Really good quality.
I iron nearly every day and this is a heavy iron which I love. There are two things I which I wish were different: It doesn't have a shut off and it doesn't have a spray feature. It does have a good steam pulse, however. If I want some spray, I keep a spray bottle of water near my ironing board. It heats up quickly.

Produces ton of steam and has some good weight to it which is a plus
Professional steam iron. Well built and feels sturdy when in use. Produces a ton of steam and is easy to fill / drain water. Only caveat is this thing is wide so it doesn’t fit my existing hanging ironing board and iron holder.

Not the same as it used to be
I owned the same model for 10 years (the picture is of the old one). It worked fine. Only the water cap hinge broke early on. Otherwise, I had no issues with it. Recently, it started overheating, and I decided it was time to get a new iron. I bought the same model (Rowenta steam force). It looks similar, but it's much lighter, and the surface is not super smooth, so it doesn't glide as easily. And it did not feel as effective as the old one. For the money you pay, I do not think it's worth it. I'm returning it.

Doesn't get hot enough to remove creases from cotton
And, yes, it spits. On the plus side, it makes lots of steam, it is beautifully made, and the sole plate looks as if it will last forever. Removing soft wrinkles from washing and drying is a breeze. There may be too many steam ports to allow the sole plate to stay hot enough?? I used ten passes each, on the hottest setting, to try to remove the creases from cotton batik shown in the photo, with steam, without steam, and with water from a spray bottle. If I accidentally add a crease while ironing, I can't get it out. Can't undo. When it spits, I shut of the steam, then iron for another ten passes to (mostly) get it dry. I have used Rowenta irons for many years, so I am surprised and disappointed, especially given the price.

Great iron
This iron is good quality and irons easy. Heat level is accurate for different types of fabric. Would recommend.

Has Pros and Cons
This is my second Rowenta iron. I purchase my first one in 2008 for $47.99 from Bed, Bath and Beyond. It performed well until it developed a leak coming from the retractable electrical cord casing. That first Rowenta lasted longer than any other brand I had, so I stuck with the manufacturer. Both irons have the self-cleaning feature. The new iron weighs 3 pounds 12 ounces empty and 4 pounds 8 ounces with water. My old iron weighed 3 pounds 4 ounces. The heavier weight is noticable. The base is wider promoting stability. The sole plate is not polished. The steam output is enough to steam my glasses. The cord is not retractable. The cord is long enough. The cord is rubber coated and drags pulling the fabric. Very disappointing A slippery-fabric cover on the cord would solve this issue. I tested both auto-shut-off features; horizontal idle turns off after 30 seconds, verticle idle auto-shut-off happens after 8 minutes. The water tank holds ample water. There is a slight vibration as the water pump fills the steam chamber while in the horizontal position. Not a big deal. To summarize: Con: heavy weight with a cord that needs constant attention to prevent dragging on the fabric. Pro: Ample steam with safety features that work. It uses 1,800-1,850 Watts. Make sure you have a GFI on that circuit.

I'm super happy with this purchase!!!! I had to replace my very old reliable Shark iron that died. Before purchasing this one I purchased and returned many different irons (brands like Singer, Shark, Rowenta and two no name brands) all of them did not get hot enough. I do a lot of sewing and quilting so heat is very important for pressing seams and getting crisp lines. It gets super hot and has a nice plate to keep clean. Steam function is nice too, but I don't need it very often with this iron because the iron gets super hot. The cord is not as long as I would like but its manageable. Hoping this one lasts.

Brilliant machine. I’m new to the steam generator game, but am definitely a convert. This iron pours out the steam, easily ironing through 8+ layers of fabric (e.g. a folded table cloth) so you spend 1/4 of the time ironing each piece. Pant legs? Lay them flat and iron through all 4 layers. We also use flannel paper-towel substitutes and I can do a whole stack at once before rolling them back onto the holder for reusing. I never bothered ironing sheets and duvet covers before, but I know many people do, and I just might start now simply because I can fold them and iron them while they’re folded.

I have a rowenta iron Rowenta Pro Precision iron. Micro steam 400 at home and I've had it for 15 years but I do sewing classes so I wanted an extra one this one was on sale for 175 so i thought I would try it out well let me tell you it's not comparable at all to my old one. This one keeps turning off if your not using it and the steam takes forever to come it's not instant and when I went to take it home from mg class the water leaked everywhere so I had to empty it and even then it still leaked. I am considering returning the iron they just don't make them like they used to i feel like the older model was great it was sturdy and heavy durable this one is so light feels like cheap plastic. The only thing that feel similar to the my old one is the weight of the iron it's self I will test it out one more time and decide what I'll do. I like on demand steam.

Clear instructions were not there that we can use in UK. Since the plug 🔌 is different from UK . Tried with compatible adapter, works for 10 -15 mins and goes off looking for the right cable for UK it would be great if the seller can suggest.
