The alarm clock is made of plastic, but it looks very nice. It fits perfectly on the shelf in my living room.

I needed a small clock to set on a shelf and was kind of tired of black. I’m not a big fan of gold, but I decided to get the gold one and I like it. It’s cute, and big enough that I can see it from across the room. So far it’s been very quiet. I recommend!

Larger than I thought it would be and does tip over easily. But on the upside it's easy to read and nice looking.

It arrived well packaged with no damage. When I removed the clock from the manufacturer's box I was pleased with its weight and appearance. Purchased to replace an old clock which I habitually look at, I was anxious to battery it up and set it in place. I put the new battery in and it did not work! I checked to make sure the batterry was properly inserted; it was. I also tested it; it had a full charge. I then scrambled to find the directions, thinking I may learn something. Well, there were none in the box. Now frustrated I asked my heavenly Father for help... abide, walk in the Spirit. I then saw the directions "printed" on the side of the box. I learned that I wasn't suppose to use an alkaline battery. I think the company should high light this condition with a flourescent sticker note. I finally secured some carbon zinc batteries (Panisonic). I insert one and it still didnt work. Now frustrated I prayed my second prayer. I'm thinking did the use of the alkaline batter damage the mechanism? I then decided to lightly bang the clock on my countertop and I was shocked that it started to work! Its now kept perfect time for three consecutive days. If it last then thats wlgreat! But lol this was alot of work to get a single battery clock to work. Emotionally exhausted! Not really. This was a gift for my husband and he loves it. Time is easy to read and it looks great on the shelf.
