Heavenly Bites Danish Style Butter Cookies in Metal Tin 12 Ounce

Love these cookies! I put them in the freezer which seems to make them more tasty and less crumbly, not that they are too crumbly to begin with. The substantial metal tin keeps them safe for shipping and I have never recv'd. any broken cookies. It is a bonus that can be used for whatever. I re-cycle it because they begin to pile up after several orders. I wish they would ship in a box but then there might be broken cookies.

Upon receiving the cookie tin, I noticed a dent in the lid, not large, but caused the lid to not fit as tightly as needed. As for the product, it was absolute terrible. The cookies had nearly no butter taste, no vanilla flavor, no taste at all, just bland. I have bought these, over time, from many different locations and never got a "bad" cookie. There was a residual kind of fine crumbs, left in the mouth when one thought they had eaten the cookie. I am sure, like all food creators the recipe has had changes, in order to keep up with high cost of product. I am a housewife, mother, grandmother for over 64 years. I have done a; lot of baking, especially cookies. These little quick bite butter cookies have been used in my household if I had a shortfall in my own production. I served them instead and with pride. I have purchased the tins as gifts many times. In my purchase history I ordered one of the Springtime, Easter tins this past year. Couldn't use as a gift, since the tin was damaged and cookies inside crushed. I kept that tin and let the family members enjoy the treat. Those cookies tasted fine, by the way. Costs slightly less than the Royal Dansk ones you're thinking of (and the ones their packaging is meant to copy, lol). But it's not worth it, just pay the extra dollar or so for the original. It's not much of a price difference to be worth it. These are fine, but they're a bit floury and they don't have the coconut or vanilla ones, they're all regular butter cookies just shaped differently.

Love these cookies.

I thought I was buying Royal Dansk; I was not. These are a very poor copycat of Royal Dansk. Do not recommend.
