Superb sound via PC speakers.
Much better quality than the onboard codec in Rog Strix Gaming motherboard. The downloaded App allows for creation of many different listening experiences. The sound quality produced from the Creative T100 speakers attached to the PC is amazing considering how small and inexpensive this DAC is.

Great but.......
If you game on a PC or PlayStation 5 this is a pretty good upgrade on the standard onboard Dac fitted on most motherboards or consoles. This with purchased because I found the output from the PlayStation controller was a little on the quiet side especially when using higher impedance headphones, this little amp allows you to use harder to drive headsets without compromising the overall volume, this will drive most headsets louder than you could reasonably tolerate. Regarding the super XFI , I would in all seriousness ignore it, it sounds frankly terrible and makes all the sounds appear as if they're coming from within a tin can ,on that score it's disappointing however as a DAC amp what it does do is effectively provide breathing space between the sounds that you hear in the headphones as opposed to having it all clumped together in the center, which I found the controller did, note I'm not talking about left and right sound balance that remains the same as the controller it's the bit in between that gets evened out. Is this an essential purchase? No absolutely not, however it does provide a nice uplift to onboard audio and I found this a worthy purchase compared to the onboard sound, your mileage may vary. One last thing to note it also allows headset microphone audio to be passed through without issue.

Drives 250ohm DT 770s without breaking a sweat - worked first time (Win 11)
Needed it to drive some DT770Pros (250ohms) as I had to remove my Soundblaster Pro PCIE soundcard for my new GPU. Suffice to say that it was compatible with them right out of the box and it's all loud and clear. Seems the sound is better with the power turned off and letting it passively passthrough the audio. I've had my DT 770s for 6-years, glad to keep them going for longer for just £35. Very easy to install, however just make sure you have the correct USB connector. It uses the latest versions at both ends, you may need to check that you don't need a USB 3.0/3.1 to 3.2 lead (like I did) to make it work.

Excels in all areas
Was looking to upgrade the audio on my pc and laptop which with their internal audio systems weren't very impressive, desktop in particular had trouble driving my headphones. It's a huge upgrade in quality and volume. Never had an external dac before so decided to give a cheaper option a go, very pleased I did as it does everything I want it to. It has a program you can use, my system doesn't support it but it works perfectly without it.

Sound Blaster X1 for gaming on the go!
I use this with a Switch Lite and Simgot EM6L Crinacle Zero Blue and CCZ Warrior iem's all with cable upgrades and they sound really good together for gaming. The X1 sounds good with every iem i tried it with for gaming, Simgot EM6L Salnotes Zero Blon BL03 Tri Kai Truthear Hola CCZ Coffee Bean and the CCZ Warrior all sounding surprisingly good with only the KZ10 Pro sounding a bit too bright, i have both the GC7 and G6 Soundblaster's and this still holds up against both of them for gaming on the go P.S I've just recently ugraded the Type C cable and headphone extension cable to newer QED Connect cables and the sound has improved with a smoother richer detailed more balanced sound, my Simgot EM6L Crinacle zero blue's and CCZ Warrior now sound like a good pair of Beyer's for gaming on the go!

Get it if you want to power full sized headphones.
I bought this to use my full size analogue headphones with my Samsung S21 FE phone. It's great ! The fact that it's an amp as well as a DAC makes itself shown. The Android app is also worth having.

A good bit of Surround sound kit.
A great little DAC AMP and turns headphones into surround sound ones. Only 4 stars as the very short cable suppiled is poor quality and too short. Make sure the one you get can handle charging and data. It doesnt have to be c to c , I got a usb A to C. You need to down load the right app for either Windows or Android and scan your face for the headphone set up.

As expected.

It was a good sound impression at first. But just after one day, it started to loosen from its headphone jack connector. It is very fragile for such a small product. Overall it felt like a very cheap and flimsy USB stick.

Lake People G 103. Aber das ist eine andere Geschichte.
