Will 1 bag be ok for a redsea reefer 170?

I started with two bags in a 250 litre tank and found I needed a third to give me roughly about 2 inches of sand depth coverage - less at the back due to powerheads shifting the sand towards the front half. Hope this helps.

Can this be used in freshwater tanks too?

I would suggest not....it’s a marine substrate with marine bacteria which would be killed off by fresh water.....

Can this be used for african Cichlids

this is live marine sand, (sand with live marine bacteria ) for fresh water you can use ordinary marine sand, which is exactly the same as the live stuff but without the bacteria.

Does it have expired date? If i want to keep it for a few months without using it?

Would imagine so, can't see it bein any problem storing it for a while though.
