The light work only with the app to open or with normal switch. Don't buy if you plan to schedule or use with Wiz motion detector. It work fo a while and then it's impossible to make it work. It's so bad, that I gave up and purchase a regular Wiz light A19 and regular fixture.

I like and would recommend

Installation was simple once we finally got around to it. It looks good and I like the fact I can turn it on or change the colors for whatever season using either the app or our smart devices. You can also adjust the brightness levels too. Great price when I ordered, unsure what it is now.

I needed a new light for my porch so I decided to try this one. It is simple to install (comes with the wire nuts). Then comes downloading the app and setting up the light. That does not take long either. You get to setup a schedule for the light (I want it to come on when it starts to turn dark and go off when it gets light). The light is bright (wow). I am glad that I am able to adjust the brightness (needed sunglasses). I like the variety of colors (the campfire mode is fun and so is party). I can change the color to match my decorations (I decorate my front yard for each holiday and season). It is a metal and glass fixture (I thought it was plastic before it arrived). This is a great light. I like the look and the function.

First off, I thought this product was going to be all plastic. I am very pleased to learn it's all metal and glass. Installation was pretty simple. I just unscrewed my old light fixture, replaced the old metal bracket with the one this light comes with and wired it exactly as my old light was. This kit does come with its own wire nuts but I was able to reuse the ones I had already. Now for the fun part. This light has quite a few options for colors including dynamic color changing modes. I really like campfire and party mode. Party will cycle through the spectrum at a speed of your choosing while campfire does what you'd expect. There are two power on modes, one which applies your favorite settings when you flip the switch, the other mode, which I prefer, applies your last used setting. Overall I'm very pleased with this light, it gets plenty bright but can be changed with your phone using the wiz app to help set any mood.

The actual light is nice and bright but the connectivity OR APP scheduling does not work consistently. It’s 3:51 PM and the light is on. It’s not supposed to turn on until 8pm. This same issue happens with other WIZ lights purchased from Costco that i installed at my Mom’s house. Our Wi-Fi network is strong yet they do not connect consistently so that we can control them and now we just have to turn the on/off with the wall switches but we bought these specifically for home automation.
