DELICIOUS Scent---just as it's title claims! xoxox
I took a chance on these Horbaach Warm Vanilla Sugar scent oils and BOY, am I ever glad I did! I love making candles for Family & Friends at the holidays or special occasions, and am always seeking lovely scents for them. I've had some bad experiences buying scent oils :( as I imagine many candle-makers do, simply because ya can't smell the durn thing before you buy it. THESE, however, were instant joy. The scent is DA LISH, but not overpowering or cloying. Just warm, as the title claims, sweet vanilla perfume lightly wafting through your space. The amount you use must be calibrated to the amount of soy wax you're using; I use 2.5 TBSP of scent oil to 16 oz of wax, give or take a wee bit. You'll have to experiment to find you ideal balance. In my experience ppl don't enjoy heavily scented candles so I go with presence, but not heavy. This is now in my top three fave scent oils for candles and all my Giftees were nuts over it. Using long Chef's tweezers, I place teensy dried flowers on top of my still-liquid wax before they cure, gives an extra special level-up to your gift. I LOVE this scent & it's neat lil bottles & HIGHLY recommend it~ Ya can't go wrong with this one.

Real lilac smell
O My God! It smells like I have a lilac bush blooming in my house. Love it! Just don't add more than one drop to the diffuser because the smell is very strong.

Smells divine in the bottle but aroma doesn't last when used outside of it
HorbΓ€ach Lilac Fragrance Oil | 1 fl oz (30ml) I'm very keen on aromas. Certain fragrances can bring back good memories & good people from the past. I have a collection of perfumes, cosmetics & essential oils that I use anytime I want a lift. I was glad to find this on Amazon as it seems to be a rarity. In the bottle it smells just like the lilac bushes I planted with my kids a very long time ago. Out of the bottle...meh. The scent dies away in seconds & doesn't add to any of my essential or fragrance oil concoctions. Now, I realize this is *fragrance* oil, NOT *essential* & there's a big difference between the 2. Reading up on how essential oils are extracted from plants, I found there's a natural lilac oil called lilac CO2 extract. The price is in the hundreds for an ounce but smells divine! Obviously, this is not it. Most perfumers use natural and synthetic ingredients to mimic the lilac scent. That's most likely how this was created. I tried using it in candles, soaps & as a wearable fragrance without any luck. Still, I find it soothing to sniff the open bottle & relive good memories.

Will recomend 100%.
Amazing smell. Works perfect with my diffuser. You can smell it from the top of the stairs leading to my room in the basement.

π‘π’ ππ’ππ’π‘π¨π§ π¦π πππ
I have one of the most acute senses of smell out of anyone I know. People always come to me to detect subtle smells. I have tried this in making my own perfume, my own body spray, straight out of the bottle, and in a diffuser.........π‘π’ ππ’ππ’π‘π¨π§. β£ There is literally π‘π’ ππ’ππ’π‘π¨π§ smell going on here. β£ It smells like a subtly sweet light vanilla cupcake. But there is no coconut. Which kind of sucks because I wanted coconut. It's not an unpleasant smell; it is a NICE smell if you are going for vanilla cupcake but I wanted coconut. Unlike the coconut the CHOCOLATE is actually quite accurate smelling! It's like a candy fudge type of chocolate. this was quite a delight for me. I used it to make perfume, body spray, and in diffuser. Absolutely luscious chocolatey scent. It's not exactly quite like a chocolate bar or like authentic chocolate. But like a candy type of fudgy chocolate (slightly artificial but not unpleasant at all for me) think of it like a more chocolatey version of a Tootsie Roll π¬. If that's what you're into then this would be perfect! It was exactly what I was looking for

Doesnβt smell like true nag champa
Not nag champa, but not terrible. I was reluctant to purchase bc the reviews were so mixed. Half said it was perfect nag champa and half said it smelled like baby powder. To me it smells like baby powder with a hint of nag champa. I hate the smell of baby powder, so I doctored it up a bit with some essential oils that I already had and while it still isnβt a true nag champa smell, it is more tolerable for me. If you like the smell of baby powder you will like this, but donβt expect true nag champa.
