YES.
I'm on a tight budget and wanted something small with the best sound I could find. I LOVE this little thing. It competes directly with the JBL flip 6, which I've never heard in person. And other similar sized speakers like the Anker Soundcore speakers. It has a 5000 mAh battery, bluetooth 5.3, USB C charging, waterproof, and feels solid. I'm gonna leave a pretty descriptive review because it's worth it. LOUDNESS Good considering the size. It's exactly the size of a tall boy beer can. My parents have an Amazon Alexa Echo Show 8 in their kitchen and it's pretty loud. You have to yell to hear each other over it. This Miatone just about matches it in volume. There's a youtube review that said it matches the Anker Soundcore Boost in volume too. No distortion at max volume, stays pretty balanced but it sounds best around 50 - 75%. This isn't really a speaker you buy for loudness though, it's a speaker you buy for great sound quality in the smallest package possible. You can go bigger and get more volume and bass but this thing doesn't really compromise on sound quality at a lower volumes. Anything smaller or cheaper and the sound quality goes downhill fast. Think pocket radios. This thing blows pocket radios right out of the water the same way a pocket radio blows a phone speaker away. SOUND EXCELLENT. This is what I was looking for. A tiny speaker that I can conviently pack around anywhere that has accurate sound. This speaker has a seperate woofer and tweeter so it has a nice balanced clean clear sound. The bass might leave a little to be desired, sure, but the mids and highs are great and it's pretty balanced. The bass is louder on the Echo Show 8 but the Miatone sounds better. A youtube guy said his Soundcore Boost has louder bass but this one sounds better, which makes sense because both of those speakers have two full range speakers which means all frequencies come out of both speakers. They boost the bass but the sound gets muffled. The Miatone has a much cleaner more proper sound. The bass does not go as low as a real subwoofer. I downloaded a frequency generator and it drops off around 55 - 60 Hz. The JBL flip 6 is advertised to go down to 63 Hz so you can't complain one bit. They probably limit the woofer with the software to prevent damage. Even the JBL Charge 5 only goes down to 60 Hz and it's way bigger! It surely has louder bass, but it's not going much lower than this one, if at all. When you have this speaker sitting next to you you can actually feel the bass in your chest. If you start to walk away from it you can still hear the bass but the feeling goes away quickly. If I leave it in a room and close the door, I can feel it with my hand on the wall so it does have bass, just nothing that will blow your mind. And since it rolls off around 60 Hz it's not going to be good for people who like old gangster rap or electronic bass heavy type music. It just can't do those sub bass frequencies and won't have overpowering booming bass. Certain rap songs will totally miss those ultra low bass notes. Bass drums almost always sound good but can be kind of empty on particular electronic tracks. Regular bass guitar riffs do come through loud and clear. The passive radiators aren't a gimmick either. It's too small for a bass port hole so the radiators simulate a bigger box. There's science behind it if you research it. They're as stiff as real speakers so you can see in my video it really cranks the juice lol! This speaker is highly affected by being placed next to a wall. It doesn't matter in what orientation, just close to a wall or corner makes it sound a lot boomier. Probably because of the passive radiators. Also, I'm using an equalizer app to slightly boost the lower frequencies and that really helps. It handles it fine. So when I put it next to a wall it's like listening to a much bigger system. BATTERY GOOD. I used a USB C tester to check it. It has a battery pack inside with 2 18650 cells. I seem to be at about 5000 mAh. Takes about 2.5 hours to charge from 10%. It does charge at 2 amps so get a good charger. Towards the very end it drops to 1 amp and then slowly drops more and more to about .4 amps until it's done charging. When it's done charging it cuts off the current completely. It actually sends my phone a notification when it hits 10% and at that point it limits the volume to very low. This is really really cool because I care about my batteries and never want to drain them too low. That's bad for them. It makes an audible tone in the speaker, and the notification on your phone so you can't miss it. LOVE this. It even turns itself off if unused for like ten minutes. The instructions say it turns itself off if you ignore the 10% notification for too long but I won't test that. And it does work while charging but the instructions say that's not good for the battery and if you do it then it should have at least 30%. I'm sure it's fine for low volumes. I left it on at exactly 75% volume and it lasted about 7 hours. 75% is loud so I have no doubt it can hit the 16 hours as advertised with normal comfortable volumes. With the LED off. FEEL GREAT. The whole thing is covered in a very nice feeling mesh fabric of some kind. It feels soft but very durable. It has something rigid behind it like probably a metal grill. I can't easily dent or squish it with my fingers. It doesn't move or wiggle or wrinkle or anything, it's just perfect. High quality. The end caps are a very hard rubber. You can sqeeze the rubber so you know it's rubber, but it's very hard like a car tire maybe but very soft and silky to the touch. Very nice. The buttons are nice and clicky. The lanyard loop feels solid. The buttons are slightly concave with little lines in between them so you can feel your way up and down the buttons if you have to. They're far apart enough to learn where they are in relation to the body when you look at it from the speaker side. LED LIGHTS Cool! They can either fade through the colors or pulse through the colors. I really wish they could pulse to the music but if they had to cut any corners that's the first thing I want them to cut to keep the price low. Very nice looking lights but I think they probably do impact the battery life so I keep them off. Every time you turn the speaker on it defaults to the lights being on which is kind of annoying. They really do highlight the passive radiators though lol. CONCLUSION Sound is hard to describe but I'm very happy with it. Rock music sounds amazing. As long as you keep your expectations of volume and bass realistic, I think it sounds GREAT. What a steal at 40 bucks. Great job, Miatone. Great little speaker. Thank you!

UPDATE: Replacement Unit Works Perfect!
UPDATE: Seller reached out a day after I posted my original review to offer a replacement unit. I am writing this review almost five months after (life gave me lemons so please forgive me) so I guess this is a review on longevity. But this new unit has given me no issues whatsoever in these months and I use and ABUSE IT. I have it on all day and night for brown masking noise or music and have had no problems whatsoever. I still never unplug it because the battery notification is wonky. But for the price, it is amazing quality. As I also mentioned before, it is loud and the sound quality is amazing. I am considering getting this for my family members. *** I really wanted to like this adorable little unit. She is LOUD, as advertised, and has crisp sound quality. However, she starts beeping the “low battery” sound relentlessly after approx 1.5 hrs with continued use at any volume remotely close to the middle. After almost a month of use, I realize it must always remain plugged in. No biggie, since I have another 2y older Tribit xsound go, which must also remain plugged in for long term use, and as such I am used to this. However, note that if unplugged for long periods of time and then replugged and left in, if you plan to keep the speaker on for lengthy periods of time after this, this speaker WILL sound the warning alarm for low battery EVEN IF PLUGGED IN. This was annoyance no. 1. I made sure to never accidentally leave it unplugged after discovering this and only begin using after a full charge. Because I need a speaker nightly for brown noise, I expected this Miatone to be as durable and sustaining as my Tribit, so long as I respected its limitations. Well, this morning, this speaker suddenly woke me with a blaringly loud beep (the type which sounds when any speaker system malfunctions) which lasted for a full 10 minutes and wouldn’t shut off even after frantically pressing the power button and unplugging. Only after the 5th smack with my bare hands did it stop screaming. Oh well. I gave it a chance. Going back to my old Tribit. My only gripe with the Tribit had been the lower sound output (16w) but otherwise, that one is still going strong.

BIG SOUND/AMAZING CLARITY
Perfect WIFI speakers for office/home setting. I have these on my desk at work, amazing surround sound, has enough charge for the entire week, recharge over the week end and MOnday they are ready to go. They have some weight to them, they do not feel cheap, they are heavy and rugged. At home when they are paired they are like mini boom box, the get loud with no sound distortion. The different color light pattern that they display, if you shut that off (depressing the power button one time quickly ) it prolongs battery use.

Quality portable speaker but disappointing if you believe the hype
This is a decent quality portable speaker with plenty of positive traits. However it does have drawbacks and you will be sorely disappointed if you believe the overblown hype in other reviews and the product description. First to level set - if you are looking for a speaker with amazing, crystal clear sound quality and with vibrant full spectrum sound, those simply do not exist in devices this size and price range. Period. A device that is around 7" x 4" or similar will output mediocre sound. All the reviews on this an other devices are simply raving about slightly different shades of gray. Now with that level set, this is one of the better devices in this size / price range. It delivers better bass and low-mid range notes without sacrificing too much quality. The battery life was one of the biggest disappointments - nothing close to the claimed 24hr life. I did multiple time trials at typical volume and the best I ever got was 11hr 20 min. The rest of my time trials were all in the 10hr 30min range. What really makes this frustrating is that once the battery is 20% or below, the volume gets capped at a extremely low level that is worthless for listening. Additionally they recommend not charging while in use - following this guidance means it has long stretches of down time between uses or you will be charging it very frequently to keep the battery from hitting 20%. The controls, connectivity, and portability are all very acceptable. It would have been helpful to have a small bump or flat spot on the outside so that you could lay it on its side without it rolling around, but it still gives good quality sound while vertical. This is a handy portable speaker that has better than average sound for this class of speaker. The battery life and charging quirks are the biggest disappointments.

First one failed after 4 years, 2nd one failed after not even 1 year
If I had written this yesterday, I would’ve given 5 stars. Today however, I was listening to music, and then out of nowhere the speaker starts making this LOUD buzzing sound. What’s worse, I CAN’T GET IT TO TURN OFF. None of the buttons are functioning! 5 min before everything was great, sounded great, working normally. Now - I’ve had to put it in the other room in between 2 bags of fabric to preserve my sanity. I’ve tried all of the buttons, holding down the power button, disabling bluetooth, etc… and nothing works. I can’t enable bluetooth again either. I went to Miatone’s website to see what could be done - they said U have to register the product first, so I filled out the form, and when I hit the “submit” button, it took me to one of their social media links, because the damn button was overlayed by the link!!?! At this point I should probably mention that this is my 2nd one of these Miatone speakers. The first one I bought in December 2020 & it was a slightly older model that had the stupid mini USB charging port, which broke in March 2024. That’s when I bought this one, the newer, upgraded model w/ a C-type charging port (which in my experience is WAY less likely to fail). I had been VERY happy w/ my purchase of this newer model until today - it sounded better than the previous model, has a longer lasting battery, and it was about the same price as the previous model. I was even thinking about getting a second one so I could use them @ the same time, cause that’s a cool feature. I don’t even mind the battery-draining lights, cause U can turn them off by pressing the power button twice briefly. Now I’m sadly without music, and miffed that this company doesn’t value their customers enough to even make it possible to successfully register your product on their website. I filled out a contact form (that I was actually able to submit) briefly explaining the problem. We’ll see if I even hear back from them…..

Small. Easy connection and good sound
Can’t fault this little speaker. To be fair I wasn’t expecting a lot for the money but I ordered it because the reviews were good. It connects super easy and anytime I want music I play it on my phone switch the speaker on and it’s there straight away. The quality is as good as you will get for this size of speaker. I am well happy!
